I spent a few hours last night putting together all the pages off the online service manual, into one easy to use PDF file.

If you want to see the quality of the manual, go to: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi

There is over 1190 pages, and each section is linked from the main page for easy reference.

For aus300zx members, i'm happy to provide it for free. However, $8.00 flat rate Aus wide covers the cost of a blank cd and postage.

I'll be selling them on ebay for $5 with $10 postage aswell.

Email me: redzedx@gmail.com if you want to order one or post here

    Cheers :)

We'll wait for nissans lawsuite for selling these :)

The service manual is copyrighted and putting it together on a CD and selling it on EBAY is just asking for the feds to come around and lock you up.

They arent being sold, i'm just charging for postage and CD.

    Express post - $6.50
    CD - $1.50
    = $8.00

Besides, the copy that I got had no copyright information. The person that removed that is the one that obviously breached copyright laws.

I doubt Nissan are going to care anyways.. combination of the fact that it's small scale, no profit, and hundreds of people are doing it on ebay US anyways.

    Cheers

copyright is implicit whether it has a copyright

    symbol and/or statement.

You said in the last post that you are only selling them at the cost of a CD plus post at $8 but then previously you said you are going to sell them on ebay for $15. It doesn't cost $7 to list an item of that price on ebay so you aren't selling them for cost. Plus why sell something and go to all that trouble for zero profit - what's the point?

If you are paying $1.50 for a CD then you are paying way too much as you can usually get them for 40c each.

    I just bought....

...the entire Duckman series on DVD for $80 on Ebay Australia.
6 or 7 DVD's but these were printed on a cheap DVD printer and colour printer covers. Discs were Princo and I feel like I've been ripped off.
Tempted to dob the guy in, but just not my style and can't do it. :(
    Ohhh well, live and learn.

    if not to late just

leave him bad feedback. 90% of dvds on ebay are cheap copies.

Re: copyright is implicit whether it has a copyright

If you want it for $7 that's fine (that way the cd is 50c...). I don't know how much I paid for my cd's, I bought them in spindles of 100 ages ago.

I am selling them at no profit here, so why whinge? I know you were just informing me of the copyright obligations but quite simply I doubt anyone would care for the quantity being done..

If I sell one on ebay for $10 + $5 postage, then i'm making $6 per disc. This covers my time and petrol to and from the post office (initial PDF took me 4 hours of compilation, getting it in the right order etc.. each cd takes 5 mins to burn + 2km to the post office with a 10 minute line)... I don't know why I have to explain myself anyway, it's not like im trying to sell them for an unreasonable amount.

2nded... I can recall when we were sharing a copy free

and in the spirit of the forum the current holder of the CD just posted it on to the next respondant as required...

I can see your heart is in the right place but just be careful being seen 'selling' it as you don't want to draw the wrong sort of attention to the club...
    Just my two cents:thumbsup:

Yeh I can understand that... I've only been a member for a few months so I wasn't aware there was another one doing the rounds.

    The free copies,

They seem to find a home that they like, Another 3 went into circulation after the one you sent me, They went to ground.Anyone that wants to do postage on a heap of them ,put your hand up now. This is unusual on the for sale page, a reverse auction, dont order yet it could get cheaper. This is how it should be!
