    some answers.....

the screw on the bottom only holds the mirror mechanism in place... you need to take out that bottom screw and then gently pry the mirror mechansim out... It is only held in there by some small hooks.... it will come out but be gentle... Once the mirror and mirror mechanism is out (you'll have to disconnect a small wiring loom) you should see about 7-8 screws inside the mirror... you need to unscrew all of these and then the two halves of the mirror should just come apart....

This wil reveal the internal "mirror fold in" mechanism (if you have an aus-spec mirror you wont have this). To get to the motor and gears inside you need to remove the little circuit board abd the black casing which is held on by a series of small screws... Its all very straight forward just make sure you dont lose anything...

In my case, all the gears inside were ok but the little electric motors had seized.. I replaced the motors from some donor mirrors and now they work perfectly...

    Cheers

Thanks for your help followed your info and still found it hard to remove so i started pulling apart the other mirror, and found it exactly the way you had said, the other one must be a later model mirror? as you could only remove by removing screws where as the other you said is only holding on by that hook point and single srew, but also found that you can un clip the mirror straight of the car, so you can see in to the internals with out having to take mirror of car any way thanks again, learnt a bit more cheers FISH:zlove:
