Ok so i installed the 300kph speedo that was from a group buy a loooooong time ago. Followed all the instructions but when went to pull the needle off the whole pin came out of the mechanism:mad::mad: its all back together and works but the speedo is really slow at picking up speed and slowing down. I've had the pin out a number of times trying to get it in the right spot but it either isnt in far enough and doesnt work at all or is really slow to respond.

Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it?

Maybe its time for a new speed from Japan.

Put it all 2gether MINUS the clear hard plastic cover (so you can play with the needle while driving)...

Fiddle with the height/depth of the needle til you get something that works...

Also, double check that the back of the orange bit isn't touching any part of the gauge face itself.

you will need a new speedo. the mechanism is f*cked. wreckers....or buy a whole new dash. If you pull out the pims the spring inside f's up.

I had this same problem, I picked up a whole cluster of ebay for something like $50 posted. I was more careful when pulling this one apart, so i used pliers to hold the pins when prying the needles off. This worked perfectly =)

I used small bent needle nose pliers for the tacho, speedo and fuel gauge but just straight needle nose pliers for the temp gauge.

    Hope this helps
