not without a little mucking around. from memory the one on the 280 has the bell to suit an L series 2.8L engine where as the configuration on the z31 vg30e is totally different. rear extension is different so the drive shaft needs modding. for ease prob not worth it. unless you want to cut and shut some things.
nope sure dont, was just wondering, my z31 box is a little noisy and the 280 is just sitting there. It was only a passing thought.
I was told the Z31 auto would bolt up to my 280zx when I was thinking of upgrading to a 4speed instead of the 3speed in the 280. Check with Warren at All-Z-Parts 02-9476-0966. He wrecks these and would know for sure.
surprised no one on ozdat has bought your parts, $150 is damn cheap. best of luck. oh and its no doubtably possible to mate it to the engine, but its the messing around with the tail shaft and mounting points that need work. going from memory the whole ass end of the box is different.
Ozdat are so cheap its not funny. No matter how rare something is even a dollar seems too much. Must be a datto owner thing. I did want the whole thing gone but if I can make a couple more bucks parting bits out before the scrapper comes then so be it. Pitty though because the engine and box are sweet just need a new body and I cant be bothered pulling it out and having it lying around till someone decides they want it
Z stuff goes better on Ebay, though the problem with big items is pickup only so only local buyers may be interested. A manual gearbox can be worth several hundred to a local buyer though.
lol, true that, ozdat are cheap, but like you said, its datsun gear. not really worth much to anyone these days. unfortunately. really nice 260C 4 door in sa advertised on the site. bargain price. just amanda wont let me have another car lol. ebay the gear. you may find a rally driver wanting the GB.
