we have done it in in the rain the sun.. both.. all sorts of conditions...

Im cruising tomorrow regardless. If the gor is cancelled i will put my hand up to try and run a cruise for tomorrow.

I had plans to do a cruise up to the werribee mansion then got the the point cook raaf museum for lunch then to williamstown and finally end up at scien e works for a car display of our zs to the public. Could do most of that tomorrow as a back up plan.

If u guys wanna cruise and kingy cancells tonight meet at todd rd servo as per normal and go from there.

 

Sweet . renegotiated roster in prep to come along and already bringing along one friend would be a bit disappointed if did all that for nothing.

Postponed due to rubbish weather

Took a short run this arvo and its not pleasant out there, took the wife's zed and I had to concerntrate hard to keep it neat n tidy and that was without pushing a std ZX

the leaf litter is bad and already releasing its oils onto the road surface and with constant 30kph winds expected over the next 24hours it's not about to improve.

The rain however has dropped off but has been replaced by drizzle, it is solid drizzle so visibility is low, 400 ~500 metres at the best.
Wipers don't cope at intermittent, have to be on solidly ......

This is the view at 4:00pm, should be a bloody great mountain on the right-hand side and the main road should be visible on the left just behind the cattle in the paddock.
the cattle are ~150metres from me to get a better perspective.

on the plus side...... my zed is clean :rofl:

What a shame, not too worry there will be another day to do the gor cruise. Ill see everyone at todd rd who is still keen to cruise and i will try and organise a cruise for tomorrow. Glad i could help kingy.

 

oh well, i took the day off. might as well do something with it. will meet ya at todd road servo.

is 9AM arrival acceptable now that we're not going GOR?

 

That's a shame it is a bad time if the year to be predicting weather... Perhaps it should always be mid to late January?

 

Adam will we be considering the other meet up point? Which was 9am at the Melbourne-Geelong BP?

 

I'm still in...havnt cruised in ages & it's my only day off for the next month atleast so I'm going to try & enjoy it as much as I can lol

Im in no rush to leave by 9am we could start this cruise at 10am if u guys wanted. Ill be up early as ill be trying to work out everything while im at todd rd. Cant use bp servo as e will be turning off the fwy at werribee south to go to the mansion.

For anyone interested in cruising tomorrow. Im going to try and host a cruise tomorrow day and ill be at todd road servo from 8pm-8:30pm waiting for everyone who is coming to arrive. No leave time but i would say 10am is the latests you can meet us at todd rd.

There has prevously been a LOT of discussion on when the best times to do the GOR cruise. It's been run previously in August, November, Feb, March, & April.

Yes, weather wise Dec & Jan are a better bet, but traffic can be a nightmare. Given it is only the 2nd cancellation in 10 years that's a pretty good average.

I'm sure kingy will come up with a suitable replacement date.

How about 7:30 for us Frankenteins at Bunnings since the depart time is now going to be a bit more relaxed?
