Well, I can now verify that a 2+0 rear wing does fit on a 2+2 (the question was asked recently on the forum). Had the Zed in the bodyshop for the past 3 days getting the old cancerous wing removed and replaced with one I picked up from Cresta a while back.I also took the opportunity to have the hatch resprayed to correct a shoddy paint job that had been done in the past. Gave the guy a copy of the TwinTurbo.net tech article on wing removal, which he appreciated as he hadn't done one on a Zed before.Looks much better now, although I now haven't got the black adhesive plastic strip that goes across the rear of the wing below the 3rd brake light. The local Nissan spare parts reckon it's not available (typical!) and I'm awaiting advice from Coutesy Nissan on this. I'm still deciding whether it's worth chasing up or merely painting it on, or leaving it off altogether. It looks a little different without it. Anyone else not have this black strip on their rear wing?

    I removed mine..

I removed my rear strip years ago, I think it looks much better without it.If you really want it back any sign shop should be able to apply and cut some black vinyl to shape.

Why not go to your local Signwriter>

and get a strip of Black, adhesive backed vinyl, that they use for computer cut decals, then just cut it to fit. Once it has the "Wizard" badges on it, you won't know the difference.:YD

    rust?

Was their any signs of rust when you removed the old spoiler? i've herd this is a common problem with original 180 spoilers. my zed also has a slightly cancerous stock wing and i'm just afraid that i'll find some rust where the clips attach to the hatch.Cheers,Red Z.

Just replaced a 2+0 wing onto my 2+2 also...

...found a little rust inside the wing near the side but didn't want to go prodding ... Must admit the fit was pretty tight ...Thansk Zeppelin!

I've decided to leave it off

I've gotten used to the look of the rear end without the black strip. Makes the rear look thinner and wider. Maybe it's just my new glasses.Red Z, no sign of rust when the old wing was removed. The guys repaired some slight scratches caused during the removal and resprayed the area under the wing before fitting the new one, so even if there is rust under yours, just get it fixed while it's exposed. No prob. Better to fix it than ignore it as it'll only get worse otherwise.

Yuk! rust under rear wing of my '90 2+2

Yuk! I just found some rust under the passenger side end of my rear wing. I was staining a bit so I poked a knife up between the wing and the tailgate and small lumps of rust fell out!! I think the rust is on the wing and not the tailgate (I hope so anyway). Even though the wing is made from some sort of plastic it must have a metal backing on which the fasteners are located - that is my guess anyway. But I want to have a look even if it means removing the wing. How do I do this? There is mention of a tech article in twinturbo.net but I can't find it anywhere. Any advice would be gratefully accepted. Thanks.
