The next morning and i still don't know if to laugh or cry, Got so close to that elusive 11 sec run, (9 thousands of a second off) last night at WSID, great night with 10 Zeds turning up to race and another couple spectating, had our own lane, so some good battles with each other. OH Yeah, have a look at the 60' time of 1.577 thats quicker than jasons(ZX2NV) published quickest road going Zed, on pump gas too, no NOS there baby But wait for it thats also quicker than JP's slot car too, making it the quickest ZED in Aus over 60', no cutting the Buggies nails there eh JP.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Oni was running around between races taking pics so i'm sure he will have his usual high standard to show us.

Congrats on the new top 60' time Ron, and commiserations on just missing the 11 second mark. Prey for a better tail wind next time and you are there.
Don't know I felt that run was perfect,hooked up, gear changes spot on, think the only way to improve on that would be to lose some more weight sim, Weighed in at 1505kg on the weigh scales there last night. good luck chrispy, not as easy as it looks. Oh and another thing to cry about , i just missed out on $800 by 4 thousands of a second by red lighting -.004 in the perfect light competition.
Thanks Pete Wokburner was right in it too with some great battles, i run a 12.1 he run a quicker 12.1, he run a 12 flat, then i got him with a quicker one, competition pushes you to do better. Had five runs, four in the 12's, had another quick one going when missed fourth gear of all things.
Huge turnout for the Sydney zed crew and more silver zeds than you could poke a stick at. Track was very green after all the rain over the weekend, so first runs were the worst. Lots of PBs from then on for the rest of the night and a huge effort from Wokky and particually Wizard, who punted all pretenders and showed the kids who's the boss. I finally figured out this straight line caper for a PB: 60': 1.969 ET: 12.824 MPH: 112.28
New PB for me 12.356 My best was a 12.356 at 114.42MPH with a slower than usual 1.778 60ft. Should be capable of a 12.1 with a better launch. Congrats to Wiz and Wokky on their great times and also well done Ports for breaking into the 12s for the first time.

Well done Wiz!! Was absolutely awesome standing close to the staging and watching first you and then Wokkie roar down the track, each outdoing the other for that elusive 11!! That you both got closer and closer with virtually every run was great to watch. Mere thousands of a second away from breaking the 12s and both cars screaming like banshees was a sight to behold!! TOp Stuff Good on you Wiz, Golden Child of the meet, now I have to go back out again. Proud of you, and great to see your excitment last night. Well earned after some frustrating set backs. Well done to everyone else and lots fo PB's. Started off a bit slippery and not sure if tonight is the night, then all came home strong.
Yeah it's a worry Chili I'm sitting on the line, thinking who am i what am i doing here, what doe's it all mean. My reaction time in getting out of bed in the morning still needs some improvement. Still the fastest old fart you know, anyway gives the young ones something to chase. Don't be fooled Karl Matty has more power than he lets on, saying that i was running just over 300rwkw last night. That aside he is one of the best pilots around here and can certainly get the best out of any car.
