Found this thought should pass along, Link to original post here Interesting most other manufacturers accept the 10% Ethanol blend accross most of there range from mid 80's up... That is bar Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati, & Nissan . Seriously though, the cars you would want to be paying extra to put better quality fuel in all take a strong stance and say they do not support this new fuel. (Xcept under Emergency). Nissan Nissan vehicles manufactured from 1 January 2004 onwards are capable of operation on ethanol-blended fuels up to E10 (10% ethanol), providing that blending of the ethanol component to the petroleum component of the fuel has been properly made at the fuel refinery (ie there is no "splash-blending" of the fuel). For Nissan vehicles manufactured prior to 1 January 2004, Nissan Australia does not recommend the use of E10 because of drivability concerns and/or material compatibility issues. I had tried it before reading this article, i'm running a central 20 ECU and found that boost felt quicker, the car ran smoother generally, (xcept after giving it a bit it splutters and takes a moment to compose). And when i did put 98 ULP (Optimax) back in it seemed to take a while before feeling right again. Won't be making that mistake again after reading this
