Was in a rush last night. Came up to a T intersection and the bitch infront of me didn't stay in her lane. She was turning right, I was turning left. Since I was in a hurry, tried to squeeze past into the lane to turn left... until I heard that god awful blood boiling, bone crunching sound...the sound of your rims being scraped.

Any chance of this rim being repaired or am I just looking to buy a new one?

A good rim repair place can make them good as new, don't worry.

If you were in perth I'd suggest alliance rim repairs. They did a fantastic job on mine, which were in far worse condition than yours.

    Its over

for that rim imo, to get it back to looking new is going to cost just under the price of a new one.

    I'd say you'd be looking at $150-$200

@ $250 a wheel,it would be better and probably cheaper to buy a new one

    WhiteNight Littering and...

Ive got the same speedy rims. Shouldnt be more than $170 or so a pop to replace.

Prob not even worth considering insurance... if that is part of the policy?

should have bought bridgestone tyres (not nankangs), so you could control your car.

    Jk.
if the wheel has a chrome lip, you may be in strife, however if its a lathed edge then it should be fine to repair, but it will outweigh the cost of the wheel.

there a 2 peice wheel right?

if so, just go to a speedy dealer and get them to order in the dish part of the wheel, then, just unbolt the damaged wheel and bolt it onto the new one.

thats if they are a 2 peice wheel, if they just for show get a new wheel

Theres a guy in fairfeild/livo way who is an absoloute pro, he has repaired 3 20" enkei wheels my mate has on his supra, and ill be gettin my rays track rims done by him as well.
Ive seen much worse and even buckled rims repaired, though just depends whether your better of gettin a new one and maybe keepin that as a spare
Ill see my mate on the weekend and ill get you this guys number.

So basically you were speeding and scrapped your rim because of it, how was this anybody elses fault but your own?

I think he meant when at the T junction the car turning right did not leave him enough room to turn left without having to wait.... So due to being in a hurry he scraped the rim trying to sneak through....

They're polish alluminium I think, definitely not chrome... thank god lol.

...and I guess if its gonna cost me about $150-$170 to repair, might just be better off getting a new one and keeping the damaged one as a spare. Are Speedy easy to find / contact?

Not only that, it is a HUUUGE personal pet peeve to me... it is the 'WORST' in Sydney, in the actual city, with your general average retard driver and laaazy taxi drivers.

I did exactly that too to my 19's. Not as bad as yours and a file and sandpaper made them look reasonable again.

I watch out for gutters a lot more now, but screw up every now and then
