    watched it all happen

Awsome job saturday! look soo fast out there, track conditions were pretty average with a few 1st timers coming off the track and an oil leak slowing up the day..

i think with the setup now, and some quality pitting by myself :cool: more track time and a perfect day you can break your PB by even more

    great work, and impressive driving!

    Good to see

It's all comming together after all the work that has been put in.
Think the area you have to concentrate on now is weight reduction, carbon fibre hatch and targa tops will help immensly, get rid of the dash, some alloy door trims, lightweight stip incorporating the nose panel and head lights will help.
    Anyway great time JP.
Noticed another Zed forum member in the results, Michael (casper imani) onya michael.
What about Wing Wong in the 200sx, did he have a gooses bridle.:bow2:

    Thanks Wiz

The slot car was amazing to hear going down the main straight!! Sounded incredible. I get scared enough in my car going into the kink, i cant imagine what it feels like for John!

It was fun trying to help keep the front of the trailer down when was loading the slot car back on the trailer with 5 guys all huddled together:eek::eek:

Yeah it was my second time at wakefield. I have the track bug bad now.
I went to WSID twice and didnt really enjoy it that much but the track is awesome. Makes you understand your car a lot better.

    Cheers
    Michael

Hey Michael I saw that zed there and was going to say hi but so busy I did not get a chance. I did not realise you were one of the trailer balancers. Low long front splitter makes it dificult to load and unload. How did your zed go anyway? I have driven this track probably 50 times. First time was a freezing cold winters day, near zero temp, with light rain and best time I did in a road zed back in 97 was 1 min 21.

I like the 350Z time 1 min 28 and kept going off the track at that. Having a go at least.

Yeah I was the asian guy on the trailer LOL

yeah busy day for all. especially with going out on the track and sweeping the saw dust, my arms were stuffed after that.

Had a talk with another zed guy there, forum name qik300.

Last time i went I did 1min16 something and this time i did 1min15.7. I felt faster this time, but due to the hotter temp, the street tyres werent holding up too well. I better get some r comps for next time.

Times will hopefully start going down. Few things i need to do especially suspension setup.

So happy for martin for getting 1.09. He has worked hard for that. His reward from me was that he can help me set up my suspension...hehe

I had talk to the guy in the 350z, very nice fella and i asked him what was happening coz i saw him come off fish hook at least 15 times!:eek:

Reason being he was running FALKEN ZEIX 329 shock horror!!

Told him he did well to get 1min 28 on those tyres.

    Cant wait till next time.

    Cheers
    Michael

I think it is the organic component in the car not the tyres. Even with those tyres the car should easily do 1 min 13. Unless it has other issues like cheap aftermarket suspension.
Your 1 . 15 is pretty ggood time on road tyres.

Yeah definately the organic component, I need a service!

I was very tired with only 4 hours sleep friday night and also having handed in my thesis the day before which took me 2 weeks straight of pretty much no sleep to write up.

But yeah, definately room for improvement. Im running stock shocks that are worn out and stock springs. New blistens coming and not funny (GREEN) suspension as martin puts it. LOL

Hey quik300, yeah normally i dont post much due to high uni load this year as it is my last year. So maybe now i will start posting more! hehe. Next time, you have to give it a go. A bit daunting at first but you will get right into it!

Tektrader Z32 Hoe, service me baby

Those Falken tyres are the biggest POS ever made. I have no doubt they are the main reason he couldnt stay on the track.
