How would I go about getting a late model (aibag) steering wheel?

Well, looks like if I manage to convince the US guys to send it to me without the airbag and detonator, i'll have to forget about my cruise conversion... oh well.

btw, saw your other thread with the late spec window switches, they are hot!

Simon at TTZ had one for sale a while back. From memory Jason (ZX2NV) in NSW bought it. Might be worth checking with him if he still plans to use it.

 

Yeah I picked it up brand new old stock ex nissan australia for a very tidy sum indeed thanks Simon (TTZ)

However my airbag centre now looks old and shitty so have been on the search for a new oem airbag centre to match my fully sick new wheel

 

Go to the ebay link posted above. It could be what you're looking for. I'm currently trying to convince the guy from the states to ship to Australia. By the look of it, he has several wheels in stock.

Prob is its newly wrapped but old wheel and airbag centre its only the leather they replace. I really want to get a brand new OEM centre to match

 

As a matter of interest is there a replace-by date on airbags? One can only assume that these things wouldn't last forever and could be dangerous if left in place long enough???
