Well, after buying parts over the past 12 months or so and having all the problems with the broken turbo bolts it's finally done! VERY happy with the end result. Wanted quad tips, but something a bit different, so went for twin oval outlets with an angled cut and rolled ends for a 'thicker' look to the pipes out the back. The angle works perfectly with the rear bar of the Z and has a great sound too! Here's some pics of what I started with, what went on and how it looks now! Started with this (got cannon?) Parts installed: MetalCats TuneAgent Dump-pipes UAS X-pipe RACE canons with 'Super Dynamics' tips    Installed with mandrel bending pipework: Old pipes Before: After! :zlove:
Post some pictures with before and after wash,...joking Looks great. How much did installation cost ?
Didn't end up welding Despite the thoughts from people that it should be OK, they decided against welding, particularly as the dump pipes are stainless steel. They just used something like Sealaflex to hold it together (blue goo in the pic) and it was tested for leaks before I left, no problems. Just something to keep an ear open for if the seal breaks down the track, but it should hold fine for a few more years until I do an engine pull.
Looks like a great new system.:zlove: Just one small item, is the far left exhaust tip slightly lower than the one next to it(seems that way in several different angled pics)??
Certainly has a smoother power curve under the gas. Feels like it's had a major engine service, it's that much better! I'm sure it's improved power output, have to dyno it sometime soon!
that looks great better then the single thats for sure! It will feel alot better as its twin not twin into single which sucks on a v6 shape motor... Plus its more free flowing now Looks good well done
Very Nice . How good are those dumps over stock. When I had my exhaust with the tuneagents it was a completely different car. Boosted sooner and harder. Cant wait to hear how it sounds
Looks good Kris But I think the shield on the Cats was supposed to be on the top as a Heat Shield between the body & the Cats. Never mine, if it does the job, that's all that counts. Have you found that it now has a drone or seems to be a bit louder with the new Cats & Exhaust. Cheers Kerry :zlove:
keza,i thought the shield on the metalcats is a crush shield,to stop damage from hitting them on things? that system looks really nice, almost looks factory with the size and shape of them
Much better Imo zeds should always have a dual system not a single one, would def increase power, put up new dyno graph to show us when done! :zlove:
Looks almost original! Is there anything which allows you to attribute some of the performance difference to the UAS X-flow muffler. I am interested in getting one of these, and would be interested to hear your opinion!
