instead of the zed what would you have gotten

I wasn't really looking til I saw my Z but if I was considering being sensible, I'd probably go a silvia or sil80, mostly cos they're light and I don't mind their look either. A guy here threw a VH41 in one, will be interesting to know whether he ever got it registered cos that's really my preference, a V8 in a light car.

 

acctually i dont mind the cross 180 and silvia...rare and nice... its not every day you see one...but i would still prefer the zed...so much nicer looking...

i always wanted the celica vvti ZR model 2000 or more.
havent enough money, so i bought a Z ...

 

aaah yes silvia and onevia's... i always wanted a onevia, purely be cause s13's have the worst headlights ever on a car... yep worse then the zeds even

onevia popup headlights seems cool, but s15 face is wikid also, and i worked out my favorite ass end is a s14a, so s14a with a 180sx front... yumm yumm, relativlly same price range aswell but do you know how many of them are going around??? diddily squat!

 

i looked at a few supra's, but they just didn't have the same class and style, so i waited till a factory TT man fully optioned Z came up, took about 6 months and i bought it even though i dislike red cars intensly

 

for me a 3 series e36 bmw or a r33 skyline. i can't remember what got me interested in the zeds. think i was flicking through my mate's hot 4's mag one day and saw an ad for jetspeed, there was a zed with a bomex kit on it and i became interested.

 

could have been tempted by a 3000 gto......

.. and a note for doug re the rx7 ...

.. had a 1984 rx7-s3 for 6 years before buying the zed .. purchased it from the original owner, it had 200,000 on the clock .. wouldn't have spent $2000 on it in the 6 years of ownership ... sold it with 230,000 on the clock thinking that it might start costing me money ..

... and bought a younger vehicle, the zed .. thinking that it wouldn't cost a lot to maintain ...!!! .. .. lol...!!!!

R32 gtst orrr really close to getting a 180sx
cos they were in my price range but you just cant beat the Z's stylin
kind of bummed i didnt wait and get the "TT" Z but maybe in future :zlove:

Silvia/180sx for track work maybe.

But in reality, my next car will probably be another Z.

Well Id love to say an Evo 8 but obviously the price is the issue. With the same amount of cash I most probably would of gotten a S14 series 2.

 

I was either going to go for a pre-vvti supra 93ish, nissan skyline v35 350gt 2dr or lexus sc430 convertible but they're no way near good enough as my girl :zlove: :zlove:

 

omg you considered a v35? i didnt know people actually considered them, i thought they were just like a form of punishment or something...

oh yeah i also considered mr2's, alot of SEXY and i mean sexy mr2's out there, but when push came to shove, the Z is faster and i know way more about it as apposed to the sw20... still think mr2s r cool, and those air intake... madness

 

yeah actually there was about 10 or so cars I wanted at one stage or another before buying my zed.. mr2, s4/5 rx7, swift gti, evo 1-3 (bit expensive), vh/vk v8 commo (lol i know).. I was even looking at some older (early-mid 90s) audi's and saab's for a while

and to be completely honest, I never even considered anything made by nissan before I found my zed.. I don't dislike skylines or 200sx etc, just don't like the fact that everyones mate has one!

 

lol the old saab turbos are fantastic daily drivers i drive a 9000 turbo yes i know i dont have a zed shutup!
leather heated seats sunroof and about a million in one storage compartments, huge leg room, massive electric sunroof not fast, not agile but the easiest cruiser i think ever made all in 1987 makes me think the best cars came out late eighties early nineties, someone needs to take a look at this time in history and pull out some inspirational new cars.

 

I've always wanted an R32 gtr, and i think i will get 1 some day, but i fell in love with my zed after going to have a look at it, and will be keeping it for some time to come. Plus it was more in my price range
My other options were either an sz supra, an S14 or a soarer, easy choice there :zlove:

 

Series 6 rx7... hottest car i have ever been in.... just out of my price range... hmm... maybe one day!

maybe an R33 skyline, but too common and i actually would just want a R34 GTR....

so i'm happy with my Zed :zlove:

but i will eventually get a GT Forester, paint it STI pink and lower it on 20's and have it as my soccer mum's car.... I'll be the coolest soccer mum ever heehee

Totally hooked on the real rex's... just like the new dunnydoor HSV Z taking our letter cause they know how good it is, the subie gang took the RX and put a W infront of it cause they know how good the real deal is

RX-7, only car i've ever driven that feels even more missle'esk then the zed

 

Nothing else.

In 27 years of driving, I've owned ~ 40 cars (from several jaguars & porsches to virtually every Aust make) and none compare to the zed. Considered a corvette, a hot rod and the zed. Needless to say, there was no contest...

Will probably repaint, rebuild it as/if things go eventually wrong but barring any unforseen accidents *touches head as no wood nearby* I'll probably be buried in my zed...

Gotta live up to my forum name.

 

In the beginning when i first got my license - i actually wanted a Suzuki Vitara Then wise dear ol dad gave me a choice (yes spoilt child) between a Silvia, 180sx and Z31 .... i took the Z31 as I also wanted a black car with attitude ... and that was it.

Currently if i didn't have my 350z .... i would go the new Audi TT .... "oh so hot .... want to touch the hiney"

 

RX-8 for sure!! Would have saved for as long as it took and just driven my bluebird til then

Might still find room for one in my garage sometime in the future
