What is it with people burning the car down to a useless pile of twisted metal and putrid plastic. Everytime i see a pic of a zed that has been stolen and burnt to the ground i go outside and spend about 5 minutes just sitting in mine, imagining how i would feel if i came across mine in the same way. My condolences to you mate. Do the police have any leads ??? Is the insurance company gonna pay you ???
Mate what can y say...hope justice is made. A few days before the incident happened i found a blueprint of a Z chassis, saved it to my computer and i instantly remembered that a while ago you asked if anyone has any z chassis pics for that v12 conversion, i was excited to send it to you then this happened. Will the insurance pay anything, at least if you get over this and buy another z that will ease the pain a little... Hope you get back on your feet and buy another z, show the people that did this that you are not giving up
These lowlifes make garbage look good! To some people a burnt out car is just a burnt out car. They are also the same type of sociopaths that scream longest and loudest when their property is at stake. But Andy, all of us here, without exception, really feel for you knowing how much time and effort it takes to get a Z into the pristine condition that yours was. None of us can imagine our cars ending in such a tragic mess and to be confronted with the photographic evidence is almost beyond belief. I do believe in kharma I hope you do too. Cliff

Andy, can you let us know if you are going to rebuild your zed and what sort of help you would like. Well i bough a TT front bar recently, very good nick, im more than happy to give Andy that as i will buy a 2000 spec when respray comes.

Andy, I checked this thread 5mins before I left for work this morning. I went to work very very angry, and with tears in my eyes. Lynn can't bring herself to look at the pics. You know we would give anything to wake up from this terrible dream, but I fear that wont happen any time soon. You are a valued friend, and we are deeply distressed by this event and the toll it must be taking on you(hurt my friend, and you hurt me). Anything you need, just say the word. I share your anger and the obvious conclusions that come from finding it in that location. You get the "nukes", I will provide the delivery system. What a pity they didn't emulate their brethren, and blow themselves away at the same time(the gutless little assholes).
Anything's possible, it's really up to Andy and what he wants to do. Regardless of whether he decides to rebuild or buy another, the guy had no insurance so he's starting from scratch. I'm sure between the hundreds of active forum members, we can help him achieve his goals.
That is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! I can't believe anyone could do that to a beautiful car ..it really upsets me to see those photos ...and for those of you, that cannot see the photos, whatever you do AVOID seeing them..its really upsetting I'm sure if we all keep our eyes open for your rims they are surely to be spotted somewhere.. about fundraiser. sorry for your lose bro . not possible to rebuild that the metal would be way to far gone. BUT i don't know if this is a long shot but it worth a go . i think that we should all get together and some how get him a zed back. If everyone chips in with all the spare parts that we all have bit by bit he can have a zed in no time. The only thing that may be difficult is to get him a registrable shell, but some Sydney bais company that is on the forum can supply at no charge or very little money, and then we can all start sending things down to Sydney for him. i think that's a piece of cake if we all help. it just a thought that can be done cheers Alex

I'm devastated I can't believe what i'm seeing. I would cry to see my zed like that, and you would have put in hundreds more hours on it to get it to that condition. I feel for you. If we can help, tell us. So sorry.
Before we get ahead of ourselves we need to know what Andy is going to do. But fundraisers sound like a good idea. Maybe a sausage sizzle at the Tech days. Business that trade on the site donating something and raffling them off. I'm sure if the prize was worth it, members wouldn't mind sending money in for tickets. Or even just an account set up where money could be donated to help out. Just a suggestion.
