My first car was a toyota corolla - The most reliable car i have ever had! I rebuilt the motor myself and drove it to sydney then to brisbane where i lived for a whole year before driving it back to WA. Second car was a 94 Daihatsu Applause which i went though a set of tyres and a clutch in 8000ks! When i sold it there was water in the oil and oil in the water but i still made $100 on it . Surprising enough the top speed was nearly 215kph!! Third car is a 91 Daihatsu Applause (Current daily driver) That over heats if you go over 100 and sounds like a diesel when you start it coz of piston slap. And then theres the 89 300zx TT Manual Mmmm :zlove: :zlove:

My List starts with >> First car I owned was a 1964 Cortina 2 door 1200cc, this was written off when a chap drove through a hedged median & ploughed dead centre between the head lights in a mini, no less. She was re-born with a second hand shell out of the Trading Post, Fully Bored & Blue Printed with Twin 45mm Side Draught Dellorto Carb's & painted similar to the Lotus Cortina's of the era & re-badged, an absolute weapon of the time. Second car was a Mini Cooper S Mk2. An ex Police Pursuit vehicle. It was used in many motorsport events, from Motorkahana's, Hill Climb's & Circuit racing in Improved Production Class. The engine was tunnel bored with over sized bearings on the bottom & matching shells on top that were under size. In effect the crank was raised 10 thou in the block, giving the effect of having a shaved head. Next car on the list was a straight out track vehicle, in the form of a Australian Championship winning Twin International 250cc Super Kart. This vehicle held the outright Hillclimb record at Amaroo Park for near on 18years against all classes. It was also used at the drags, clocking high 9's low 10's on a regular basis. Open track at Oran Park it ran on the South Circuit with times in the 44 - 47 & second per lap GP Circuit around the 75 -80 second laps. Next on the list came a Datsun, then a Toyota closely followed by a 260Z which made way for a Cordia Turbo 1800cc & then the 300ZX. Cheers Kerry
Datsun 1000 , upgraded to a Galant station wagon with bub no 3 and then to a VW Kombi for bub 4... I had a ball with the Kombi, she was the first car I did anything to .Slightly worked the motor, Mild cam, hotdog exhaust, she sounded mad. , tie died curtains, custom wheel cover to match my tat It had seats in it, not a camper. Then downgraded to a Ford Econovan Maxi (new partner didnt like my Kombi , I should of turfed him instead of my car!) to fit 4 kids and motor bikes and then my Magna Altera which seemed like a Ferrari to me after the tired old Econovan... Then the Zed , with no idea what I was buying I flew to Coff's Harbour and drove her home thinking OMG this is awesome! At that point I couldnt have possibly imagined the world she would open up to me or just how much I would love it. Her last owner and I became friends and barely a week goes by we dont speak.. Caz..
