    FINALLY after 2 years of trying we have broken through the elusive Queensland Raceway sprint ciruit 60 second barrier with a best lap time of 59.84 for the day!! It took until the last run of the day to get there.

    that time should be good enough for 1st or 2nd in Class on the day.

    gotta love the Z!!! :zlove:

    top stuff, pete ... well done .......!!! now mate .. fill we innocents in

    regarding the class .. you are looking at first or second in class .. who/what are the other buggers who may try and nick the win .. thinking that we may need fate to do a "HIT" .. but seriously, what constitutes your class for this particular event ..???..

    class details

    class goes by engine capacity and existence of a turbo or supercharger.

    so in my class, you have 3.0L turbos and V8s and anything bigger in engine capacity than that. they also separate road registered cars from un-registered cars.

    today I was up against some Ford GT40s, RX7s, a couple of skylines, some falcodores, other randoms.

    when the results are available on the queensland raceway web site i will post a link.

    Concidering the 59 was on the last run

    I think it was the extra weight reduction. For those not there you see pete lost his cat converter heat sheild on one of the last laps othe the second run. So perhaps the loss of about 1kg helped on the last run, Not likly:LOL::LOL:, well done.

    Thats an excellent time

    Not much around in your class that would touch that, good work. My best in the 260Z is 60 point something, a few of us S30 punters are going out to the next Wednesday sprints later this month.

    I wouldn't worry Pete

    Your right in the ball park now and with better brakes it will make a lot of difference.
    I was making up heaps of ground under brakes at OP on sunday, ( with the auto thats all you have to pull you up)
    Running 324 Rotors, gts calipers and race brake pads and fluid,works a treat.
    you should have an interesting series, with the competition you have there.:thumbsup:
