Oh Man. Sorry for your loss.
Good to see you and your GF are ok.
Cars can be replaced, people can't.

Was it not member Vader who almost had an under-carriage fire some years ago, caused by a collapsed Catalytic Converter?

No insurance man, was pretty bad because it was under power lines and next to a lot of cars at a red light, pretty much evacuated everyone pushed it to safety, pulled up the hand brake and watched this. Also copped a $300 fee to tow it away :S

The main thing is you and your girl are safe, yes it cost money, but that is nothing compered too losing yours or your girls life or getting seriously injured.

Sad to say, but a lesson learnt soon as you buy a car get it insured .

Oh yeah man everyones safe I don't care about the money, I'll have a third 300ZX before I turn 21 this year. This time I've just got to take the time & cash money for a mechanic to thoroughly make sure It's good.

Could be a number of things electrical, fuel leakage, but if your motor is salvageable, get it and keep hold of it till you buy a new car or shell. Save what you can off your burnt out one.

Hate to ask but did you switch off the motor when you saw flames?
