OK so I've done a bit of a search but haven't found anything definitive.

Does anyone have a list of cars that have similar wheel offsets and fitment to the 300ZX?

From what I've researched on Google, Skyline, Silvia S13/S14 and Supra are all similar. Question mark over GTR. But I can't find any site with definitive details.

I'm interested in this both for selling and buying wheels.

    TIA :)

Nissan OEM wheels don't fit anything else because the bore hole in the middle of the wheel is too small.

You can fit a Ford Falcon wheel on a Z32 as it has a larger centre bore than Nissan. Handy to know if you get in trouble and need to borrow a spare wheel from a cab driver.
An adapter sleeve is recommended to assist in centering the wheel while bolting it up and keeping it true. I am puzzled that some of those adapter sleeves are plastic, as I would have assumed mild steel was needed.

After market wheels would have an oversize bore and then the correct adapter sleeve would be inserted to make those wheels fit Nissan or Ford.

Wayne, stay on topic or start your own thread mate, do we really want to have 2 sets of information in one thread with a heading that's irrelevant to the second conversation. Seriously?

Mostly for aftermarket wheels so yeah centre bore shouldn't be an issue.

I did read that Falcon were similar but didn't believe it lol.

This one will fit and it even has an integrated cup holder, the Zed being pre 2005 didn't have that feature LOL. ;)

Speaking from experience, R33 GT-R wheels fit PERFECTLY on a Z32. No stupid amounts of poke, just perfect offset.

They're 17x9 +30 in case you were interested in the sizing.

Great list Stu, that's what I'm looking for but with wheel sizes and offsets.

Instamatic, so is it non GTR wheels then that are different?

I was also under the impression it was the offsets more that was the question. actual stud pattern is an easy question , apart from the hub size part.

if you are looking for aftermarket wheels specifically then a list of stock wheels shouldnt really make much difference to your search.

anything that is a 114.3 up to 19inches with an offset approx around the -30's mark will be well suited.

any wheels made for holden, audi or bmw won't work

definately don't go for anything with an offset near -40, its simply too sunken (i'm running king matrix 18x8s with -40 and they sit well in under the gaurds, I don't recommend that setup at all)

easiest way to work it out is check out some Z's that have the stance and wheel size you like, then copy the sizing and offset they are using, but also tyre choice can make a difference.

255's on 8" rims will have a virtical wall and look suited to a muscle car look, down side is you have to give enouch clearance for the rubber to easily clear the gaurd,

for a stance look 245's on 10" rims (correct me if I'm wrong) would contour under the gaurds and you can get a more flush look if you have a lower offset.

there are a lot of things to consider.

at least with after market wheels you can get them ordered to suit your desired setup,
not to sound too arrogant but trying to work out what size wheels you want by comparing to other makes is kind of a backward way of choosing wheels.....

and this topic has come up over and over again in the few years i've been on the forum so a search will come up with a ton of information about wheel sizes, comparissons, offsets and links to websites which can show you what different sizes and offsets will look like compared to stock.

    its all there.
    happy Hunting!

    Wayne, I think you mean +30 / +40, not - .

The point of the thread is two fold.

When selling wheels it helps to know what other cars they'll fit.

When buying wheels a lot of the time the sellers don't list the size specifications of the wheels, and often if you ask, they have no idea what you're asking nor do they bother to look.

If wheels are listed with their size and offsets yes it's easy, just go plug the numbers into an online offset calculator and you'll know exactly how they'll fit.

But if the only information you have to go on are they're 18" rims with 265/45 18 tyres from an RX7, this is where this sort of information would be useful.

A complete list like Stu listed above with stock wheel diameters, widths, offsets and centre bores would be very useful to have.

You mentioned nearly all them already and now you want more! !

300zx is quite unique in exact specifics, its hard to find the exact combination, that's why it can be difficult bringing up in google!

This subject has been covered before here and there are links already done, do a better search to bring up specifics on some. :p

I recall one thread a few years ago that had good input on specific nissans and had lots of good input into compatible wheel offsets but I couldn't find it and hope it wasn't lost:

I also had a copy of the offsets of others but couldn't find that either:eek:

simply put - there is not a great deal out there that are actually really viable with PCB etc other than the "other nissans including the other Z's" as you mentioned because the offset +30 makes it a unique "Nissan wheel" in this variation.

So the answer to your question is: other Z's and Nissans have the right combinations to work as you mentioned, but there is not much more other than what you have already mentioned that is really actually viable without some other modification or adaptor/s. ;)

Same goes for combination tyres to fit as you start to get wide and lose profile!:)

That's why the cupboard is a bit bare in this thread...............

    yes, sorry about that.

I was driving through the tunnel on my way from Narre Warren to Geelong a few hours ago and I realised what I did...

but please stay away from the +40 end of the scale, its not a great look.

would it help if we put up picks of our setup?
i'm sure there is already a thread or two because I annoyed people for at least 2 years with these exact questions...

    My fronts,
all stock suspension, no camber in the way of FUCA's.

    18x8 rims +41 I believe 245.45 tyres
    [IMG]

(noone steal my car, CBF erasing plates :/ )

the rears look a bit better, just....

    18x8's +41 255 40 dunlops

Ideally these rims would look a better fit on a falcon than the Z
the guy I bought them off had them on a Lancer hatch but they should also fit on a Galant...

    should I shut up yet?

Wayne you're still missing the point of the thread. If you know what the size and offset of a set of wheels is it's easy, just do the sums based off stock wheels and you'll know how well they fit.

The point of this thread is to make a list of cars that have similar size/offsets.

And saying to stay away from +40 makes no sense? The offset is only part of the equation, it needs to be taken with rim width.
You do realize stock rims are +45 right, 7.5" wide.

Saved me saying that, for every 1/2 inch extra width the wheel will be 6mm less 'sunk'. 8" +40 is the same look as 8.5" +34

As above R32 GTR are reasonably close to the Z (and stagea is similar to GTR). I've had OEM Enkeis from an evo 3 (I think) on my Z, little more sunk than stock.
I've also seen that R33 stockies are sunk on an rx7 fc3s so expect rx7 rims to have low offset.

    350z offsets typically fit.

R33/34 factory wheels fit but generally speaking GTR offsets are more aggressive than is ideal for z32.
