Hi guys, just got a set of velour seats from a 1996 na 2+2, they are in brilliant condition and have never seen this type before, plenty of leather and tweed types around but not these. The passenger seat also has power control. What year/model are they standard/optional on?
    Thanks

I believe they became on option from 93+ but ive seen a few zeds older that had them so not sure if they had been swapped over or not. I had a pair aswell but ended up selling it as it was a PITA finding a velour interior in good condition

Yeah 93+ option along with leather wrapped and stitched handbrake/shifter (thanks Adam :) )

I love my Velour seats! The best type of interior in a zed IMO, comfortable, warm in winter, cool in Summer... It's like sitting in a recliner at home :zlove: You can drive for hours and not get a sore ass ;)

Nope, it's way too grandpa spec. I had a full velour interior, swapped it for a black suede interior, much newer. OEM Recaros ftw

Yeah yeah put down your Suede ;) I do like the suede too! Both those types of interiors if be happy with, but mine came with Velour so it's staying :)

Oh and noooo way is velour grampa spec.... The ugly ass tweed interior is the most hideous dated interior in the zed! I can't even touch that stuff!

Yeah velour is massive grandpa spec, don't think it's ugly but just looks like the interior my grandpa would have haha.

NA isn't a choice for everyone, p plates are forced to drive them, so no.
I did a Melbourne to Dubbo to Sydney to Melbourne trip in my Recaros and I wasn't uncomfortable at all...

I love my NA. I never got into the Z32 for performance, I just loved the looks, comfortable drive, roof off, cruising about. Plus it works as a daily! So by owning a Z32 NA I can do all this with out the added on woes of a TT.

Agreed! The Recaro's I had were probably the most comfortable seats in any car I've sat in. Beats my Audi and both of my old man's Beemers, my sis's Merc. Recaro's are only uncomfortable if you are a fat bastard :p

I havnt tried Recaro's so I can comment, but I would compare modern seats with the zeds velour seats... Mums 2013 Range Rover obviously has the best leather and seats amoungst others in the 6 digit vehicle range... And I find them too hard, the BMWs and Mercs are the same deal, along with your common modern cars.... Shockingly bad seat designs! I may as well sit on a park bench lol

Anyway that's not a crack at Recaro's but more the seats in modern cars...even top dollar cars.

Thanks for the response guys...I replaced my tatty looking leather seats for these almost new looking velour seats, they look good, feel good and damm they even smell good....maybe it because I am a 53 year old (would be a grandad if one of my 3 kids pull their bloody fingers out):)
Any way I saw it as an upgrade and happy.
