i just want some good street performance that's all, around 400ish hp would be cool, i had a 320 hp sileighty which was a beast, if i get the zed to be faster than that it'll be enough
hopefully with the help of more experienced people at the meet i'll sort out the minor issues and i can start upgrading...
Really good tyres are the most noticable change I've ever had. $600 won't cover them though, unless you talk to Moo
You need decent tyres to be able to hold traction when "good stable power" kicks in. Gotta think about what happens when this power kicks in whilst it's wet, bet you're gunna wish you had decent tyres when you're sliding towards a pole.
i'm on bridgestone turanza right now, came brand new with the car, i drove in the wet a few days ago and car felt very stable
Yeah, especially when you've got your girlfriend in the car and there's an inexperienced driver behind the wheel.
i was just being immature haha anyone i like the idea of being able to brake the tires loose whenever i want at low speeds, but yeah a wheel/tire upgrade is planned for when i have money, but for now i just want to get my car running really well and bump the power up a bit, it feels way slower than my sileighty
400hp is roughly 300kw, it all depends how easily you want to get it. You could do it easily by spending the money and upgrading the turbos, or you could do it the hard and cheap way by doing fiddly mods. But be prepared that if you do it on the cheap, you could very well fall short of that 400hp.
I think you can not get safe tune 300kw with stock turbo. Also power is depends on dyno. I think around 10% different.
look I own a stock auto with exhaust and pod and it ran 14 psi of boost when I got it, (I now run 12 and I believe it had manual cams). It was on 16's with 235's and it would break traction any time I wanted it to (even at 100kmh on the cheapest of tyres 225/16/nearly bald linglong cheapies) so if you are having trouble with breaking traction at present either you are not running the boost you believe or you have issues to sort out. In the end spend your cash on getting what you have sorted.
