Built a trailer hitch for the zed

 

Damn thats nice. Want one to tow the jet ski.
Prefer the Haymen reese style for removable hitch.
What sort of moneys?

 

removed brake booster and EGR and rear water pipes.
If I keep going at this rate then it'll be an engine out, piece by piece.
Still trying to get at the O2s

So would have I but I can still get to the bolts on this one so its removable but not as easy as a hayman reese. Donor hitch was a 94 hilux that I got of gumtree for $30, the side plates I had cut from 10mm steel bar and cost me $25. All the rest was just hard yakka, cutting, shaping and welding to suit.

Went and saw my zed at the shop...its been stripped!! Ive never seen it like that...almost there!!! The panel beater has brought in a 3rd year apprentice just so i can have my zed back before zedfest Hoping to have the zed back by next week, if not early the week after...

Also got my 2k spec tail lights, and custom genuine altia panel...one of the reflectors was cracked upon arrival...other than that all good Very nice product

Going to go see the zed at the shop on my lunch break soon...also paid for a set of fog ducts...nice and cheap and brand new too!!! I love getting bargains

I decided to drive it today.
And.. last but not least I took the globe out of the cluster for the anti lock light, just because my brakes DO work ECU.

 

fitted high beam HID's, refitted headlights, tapped in intake temp sensor, about to fit dumps

my everything hurts

 

The ECU doesnt know shit about the condition of your anti-lock braking system.

Consider replacing the bulb and fixing your brake system, here is how.

The dash warning light is controlled by the ABS control unit, located under the back seat behind the driver or trim on a 2 seater. Unfortunately the flashing LED that will tell you why your ABS warning light is on, is located on the ABS control unit.

Down the bottom with the yellow sticker on it.



Here is the page from the manual describing how to read the flashing LED.

 

Are you sure it isn't your BRAKE light? If so, it's just telling you that one of the 4 brake globes is blown (or the black box is stuffed).

 

Well every time I braked before my last plenum pull the yellow 'light' signal came on, however now nothing comes on when I hit the brakes.

I thought it was normal for my car to be doing this..


I also have the open door globe on everytime my car is on.. except when I switch the interior light on, this disappears, and then comes back when I turn the interior light off.

Brake globe(s) or blackbox will fix this.

 

James it is most likely one of your brake bulbs...i had the same issue...i had a look and found out that one of my brake light bulbs werent glowing when the brakes were pressed but was still working when the lights were on, hence why i was getting the warning light. I replaced the bulb and no warning light since
