I do like how low it is and especially the stance...but its only the ride comfort that is making me think twice Abraham
You have to want stance to do it dude... because it's a ****ing pain in the arse. you will have to: fit rear camber arms fit front tension rods fit rear toe rods because NA's don't have adjustable rear toe without HICAS fit good coilovers all 'round (read: ones that go low enough) bin those front camber arms you've got and fit stockies, because you'll snap the ones you have now fouling at the new ride height fit hella stretched tyres to the new rims (adding up, isn't it?) then: roll your guards dead flat remove front fender liners and either heavily modify or bin them take off that shit house wing tuck the wiring etc underneath the front fenders cut out the rear bumper tab and work out a workaround to attaching the rear bar THEN you go through the process of jack up, adjust, drop, drive, jack up, adjust, drop... then, when you think you're done, go for a very good wheel alignment because your toe will be ass about. bam, enjoy not being able to get into your own garage. it's a very hard and expensive way to make your zed much more defectable and a hell of a lot less comfortable than it currently is. read: only attempt if you're ****ing awesome.
LOL i love how you still hate my wing dont worry it is coming off i already have to get out "in style" because of my doors, so being lower wouldnt be much different I wouldnt want to go really low like yours and Dean's. I would just want it sitting a bit lower and i have my lowered springs at the moment. I would keep my current rims but i want the wider look and my current rims arent wide enough being 8.5" I will definitely get my new rims powdercoated in gloss black just like i did my current rims so it will be a similar look but yet different Question - if i didnt want super low like yours and Dean's...would i be able to put the rims on without having to install any adjustable suspension? I do plan on getting coilovers and full adjustable suspension. But i cant afford it at this stage as i got a lot of things happening right now like complete respray, new front & rear bar, new nose panl, new side skirts (maybe), custom 2k tails, custom altia reverse panel, custom sill plates (maybe), chrome and polished engine and interior gear, headlight inserts, angel eyes, complete fluid replacement with service, road tune, new seals and mouldings, velour electric seats, as well as a few little things so funds are really tight so am trying to priortise what needs done first Abraham
ah, you've already got looking like a dickhead coming out of the car covered then! no you can't put them on without adjustables, they'll stick out 1" on the 9.5" +22's and on the 10.5's without adjustables, they'll stick out about 2.5 inches. it'll look like ass get your priorities straight, nobody gives a shit about bling anymore. if you want "street cred", slam it.
LOL i aint after street cred i just want it to look good. My new rims will defintely look good. I just need to get it I have already got the chrome gear and everything else. So its not an issue and i got it at a bargain price i love good deals Abraham
NA's do have toe adjustment on the rear, eccentric washers on the bolted joint between the cradle and the toe link.
You are a moderator and this is the best you can do!? Pickings must be mighty slim at this end of the moderator gene pool.

Abraham
bracket, what tyres are you running on the rear? my rears are 19x9.5 and +35 but with 15mm adapters so i think that works at +20?? can i use 265s (fideral silicas) or do i need to go 255 to avoid the gaurd roll? also, 19x8.5 on the front with the same offsets.. whould i go 245 or 235?? i want to avoid 255 because they seem more expensive and federal dont make the silica's in 255 from what i can see in my extensive research using the ebay search function. Waynoz
Waynoz i am running Federal 595 on my current rims and i got them in 19" for $165 a tyre...which is cheap If you are interested i can take you to the shop i got mine and they will be able to help you out with tyres the shop is in Epping and the price included fitting and balancing. Pm me or msg me if you interested im more than happy to help Abraham
thanks abz, what size are we talking though. i have $190 a tyre for 245.35.19 fronts and $460 a set of 265.30.19 rears not including fitting and balancing though. I'm looking at buying tyres in 3 weeks with my current budget plans. I'll hit you up then. idealy i want to fit the rims and tyres before i finish the bodywork so i know if they will fit and if i need to roll the gaurds. Edit: don't i have you on facebook now???
I'm running 17x10 +9 245 45 on the rear, deffs needed a guard roll. It's all relative to how low you go. You can get bigger tyres under a higher car obviously. Put it this way. I used the current wheels I have on now with the same tyres when I was at stock height, maybe a touch lower, before a guard roll. Around corners, the rear guard would eat into the tyre. I got the guards rolled, problem solved. Slammed the car, rear bumper tab eats into the tyre now... Solution? Grind the f#cker out. Order I got work done in: Installed coilovers + camber arms + tension rods on the first day. Next day, new tyres as my ones at the time were rocking HUGE stretch. Next day, guards rolled. Next day, slammed. Maybe a few days between, I forget
