I'll do my best to come out, if only as pit crew.

For those coming along for some track time that haven't done it before, a few Zed related things. If you've done it all before, please ignore this ;) I've been out there a few times, and I certainly don't class myself as anything above an average peddler, but a few simple things will make sure you have the best day, and the most possible track time.

If you've borrowed or recently bought a helmet, make sure you can get a comfortable seating position in your Zed without the helmet getting too close to the targas/roof. If you're anything near 190cm and your Zed has a standard seat, this might be an issue.

Before the day, get your brake fluid flushed and renewed unless you're sure it's new and uncontaminated. Check that you have a fair bit of brake pad material left too.

Start out cautious, doing only 3 or 4 laps before coming in to check everything. On the last lap, ease off to allow things to cool down a little before coming in to the pits. If your Zed has stock brakes and you're pushing a little, they will be starting to hurt by lap 4. If you think you need to, drive around slowly in the pit area for a while after track time - you don't want to just park it if you have red hot rotors. The heat soak can warp your rotors and/or overheat your brake fluid.

If you've paid your money, then you all have the same right to be on the track, but depending on the rules/briefing on the day, be aware of faster cars, and either space yourself so that they aren't caught behind you, or depending on the rules of the day, if passing is allowed, wait till the right part of the track, give them plenty of space, and a clear signal to pass.

Bring a decent tyre pressure gauge, and monitor tyre pressures.

Mallalla is cold and can be quite windy, and it's a few km into the Mallala township. Bring a warm jacket, and either bring some food, or buy it on the way though the Mallala township.

Have fun - it's a great little challenging track.

Still have the overheating problem, so it is time to buy a new radiator. I am going to buy a UAS twin pass radiator and get Barry to install it.:zlove:

Have you thought about giving the radiator a flush?
Also, how old is the water pump. that can be an issue too.

Does anyone know if these guys run a passanger session? I would like to know if I should put the second seat back in.
