Purchased my first Z on christmas eve always wanted one and was looking for my next project as my current one is almost finished, I picked it up off Ebay or $1000 which I thought was a bargain here are some pics of my current project and some of the Z before I start and I will keep you posted with the progress just planning the conversion at the moment torn between building a cruiser using the std 4spd auto tricked up or building an absolute animal and backing it up with a transbraked powerglide not sure yet

Very tidy buy for that price, well done.

Good luck with the conversion, it looks like you already know what your doing.

    Be interested

In this build, have been toying with the idea of doing similar
    Keep the build updated eh.
where in NSW are you, would like to have a look , give a hand if needed.
Nice pick up for a $1000, with that front bar and paint job.
Have you run the ute yet? looks like a lot of time and money have gone into it, what times so far?

$1,000? Really? *cough cough* I would jump rope with my intestines and push them back in with a stick if that is for real! And if it is for real... I don't think I wanna know.

Nice zed :) cant wait to see the build happen :) post up plenty of pics and definitely go for a monster zed :)

Roadeater if it was gotten off ebay then i wouldnt be surprised...as i personally i have gotten a lot of surprise bargains off ebay. As for a complete zed like this...ive seen a few go for under $1.5k...so not at all surprised at the price. I think Brad (Painter) got his zed for a similar price too...ebay will definitely be your next best friend lol

I'm looking for an appropriately blunt stick.

Where are the suckers when I'm in the market for an absolute bargain?

No doubt this thread will be killer. Subscribed.

Looking forward to reading this build thread. I have the same idea but waiting on funds lol..

When you make up the engine mounts, feel free to make a couple of extra :) would snap them up real quick.

Make sure you post lots of photos :)

Interesting, I see fairlady badging there, yet the engine is quite clearly NA. I thought they were only badged as such in Japan...? Meaning someone either bothered to import an NA or shoved an NA engine into a previously TT zed ?

    Very nicely kept zed btw.
