**UPDATE** Well this weekend was a very big weekend indeed. With just Karl and myself to put the engine & gearbox back in, all connected and fired up perfectly (of course) Installed some sexy new gauges inside today that Haylz wanted in: Boost, Water Temp, Oil Pressure & AFR. All look very tidy in they're din cluster. For some reason i was lucky enough to get gearbox, tailshaft, exhaust duty yet again :vomit: - along with gauge install. but i don't mind, all for a great cause. Karl, is just a God on these Zeds! I wouldn't trust any other person half as much to work on my Zed personally. Always a pleasure working on these cars with you mate, i always pick up something new off you each time. So the whole job in very close to being completely finished now, just a couple of very minor things just to tidy up and it's all done! Engine is running perfectly smooth, just like it was new! Didn't really have any issues - apart from way to many bolts and nuts that were randomly "chucked" around the place when it was all pulled apart from a certain member which knows who he is - and we spent a fair bit of time locating those, but all good in the end. So HaylZ will be collecting her brand new, new and improved Mint300 Zed in less than two weeks now! I think the car will outlast her now! :zlove:
well i was very distracted this weekend getting sneaky peak MMS's of all the action. wish i was up there to "help" but at the same time i can't wait to see it all finished!! i can't wait!!! you guys rock!! and i love you to bits! :zlove:
Yes very close now. We managed to resolve some issues like a driveline vibration corrected by new tailshaft centre bearing, low beams and instrument lights not working due to blown fuses as discovered by Benjamin and speedo was not working due to the business who installed the reconditioned auto did not connect the sensor plug For the record, the ASI Radiator that was purchased is a poor fit in regards to the upper hose spigot as it is not welded asquare which makes difficult fitment of the top radiator hose fouling on the radiator fan shroud MrZ Magic and NastyGirl did a good job of the dash pull and push, everything works as it should although you two did have Ben and I worried Just waiting on the new rollers to arrive and I can assume position of test pilot to make sure everything works as it should. Delivery to Greenmount planned for Saturday so Ben can finish all the bits and pieces that were not in my contract like gauges and stereo stuff. On the way the ECU gets tweaked and the stockies get wound up to 15PSI for the first time in their lives. I regret to say Ben that this car is going to eat yours and HaylZ drivers licence is in jeopardy
With the ASI radiator, all you can do is cut an inch off the top hope and trim the shroud back. She'll be sweet.
