100% bent as in you being 100% sure its bent, not 100% bent compared to 50% bent. you cant be 100% sure its bent from looking at the pics you havent even seen underneith, theres intrusion bars in the door that asborb the impact, along with the energy being dispersed over 3 panels.
I fold... I hope it's not chassis rail damage, you'd could sell it for more as a repairable wreck then, not just as a write-off.
michaels going to take pics of the rails/door sills and along the front quater tonight, can you use string to check for bent rails?
using a long flat edge bar would be more reliable than string i reckon, but hey, whatever info he gets, so long as its accurate can only help......... not trying to twist the knife here, but didnt you (mafi-zed) also stack this car pretty substantially ? poor things had a rough run.....
Then it was repaired well... i looked at a 300 today that had been t-boned and the repair was terrible... looking at that picture and showing it to my dad(spraypainter/panelbeater) thats definitely repairable obviously so long as the chassis isnt too bent... even if it is it can still be repaired but the costs will obviously be restrictive... And judging by the civic is no way to tell how bad the 300 is... 300s are heavy solid cars compared to the tin can civics, and with their crumple zones, they're supposed to fold like that...
Yeah and if you drive civics fast enough you can literally bend them around a tree into a half moon. They fold whatever way you hit them.
here are some pics. alright~ after about 3 hours job. i got these photo. hope u guy will understand what situation had the car be in now. i can not really take a good photo of the chassis. u know, u can see the light come from outside, makes it harder to see. but these is not thing wrong with it. this is the thing need to be replace. took the front guard off. this hose is broken. when i start the car heaps of air goes in. i dont think it needs to be replace. just use some super glue. can anyone tell me what do these two boxes do? is this upper box meant to be like this? finally hurt my thumb
Might be worth writing it off and buying yourself another Zed. Unless you are OK with out a car, then I suppose you could fix it... but man, what a PITA! So you were turning right? And the civic was just fanging along.. you pull out doing your right turn and BANG he crashes into the driver door. The important thing is you're OK and no one got seriously hurt. I guess you could buy a new door and get it resprayed but man, that damage behind the door is gonna hurt... I'm assuming you'd need to respray the entire car? What's that worth? 2-3k for a decent job?
Those pics are usless in trying to tell if the chassis is bent. U need to get under and compare the chassis rail with the other side. personally i think the chassis should be ok / Trev
i would imagine the chassis would be fine if you are lucky you can find replacement parts and get them sprayed for under a grand as for those boxes if they are broken scrap them
The cannister with the busted hose is the clutch vaccum reservoir. You cna just plug the hose for the short term while you fix or replace the broken part if you want. The other canister above it is meant to look like that.
this does nothing. throw it away. it's part of the AIV which is no longer used since trav already deleted everything but he was lazy to get rid of the fender tanks.
lazy like a FOX!! anyway, a new front quater, door, glass, pull the rear quater out along with the door sill and then repsray seems to be whats needed providing its not bent. I really dont see enough damage there to believe the chasis got bent also michael not sure if you realise but you showed pics of the fuel lines not of the rail itself, putting a plank of wood to show the level wont tell us if its bent, only bowed which theres no chance it would be. the rail is further in. also dont place bricks in the spot you put them, its soft metal there and if the jack gave way it would just put a massive dint in the underside, stick them under the rails.
