I have my zed now It feels tight! Great handling, good braking etc. Power is a little disappointing... It's making 175rwkw (dyno was done a few weeks ago) but that is on stock boost so all I can see is potential :zlove: There's a custom twin poddy setup well hidden behind the front grill. A few cosmetic problems like mismatching rims, powdercoating peeling off front wheels, dint in drivers door and mould, small chips in drivers window. Only a catback exhaust but damn it is LOUD. I have a headache now from the droning. Will probably fix that soon. Aside from that, a very nice car! To me it does not sound jap.. at all.. It sounds like an XR8. And I mean EXACTLY like an XR8, with a hint of turbo spool. What mods can I do to make it sound different? I'm thinking blow-off valves would be a good start. Also.. A warning light came up saying "LIGHT ON". What does this mean? It was on 100% of the time.
oooh, 175rwkw is nice figures for a relatively stock Z! The lights light means that one of your globes is probably busted, though I'm not sure about a 'lights on' light...hmm...
The interior light doesn't work (the one connected to the doors) so would that be it? 175rwkw just feels so slow! I guess it's just the auto that makes it feel sluggish. Bit more boost should do it though.. Will have to buy a boost controller soon. Stock turbos will handle 11 - 12psi yeah?
Hmm, not sure about that one. Never had that one go out Its usually a tail light, indicator or one of your headlights. Check all of those and see if they're working. Depends on the condition of your turbos. Do you know what condition they're in? I just put mine up to 11 psi about 2 months ago and immediately the damn thing started blowing smoke (turbos were in bad condition). It was doing about 184kw atw at that point. Most people generally agree that 11-12 psi is relatively safe, any more than that, you need supporting mods, including chip and tune. I reckon you should get used to driving it first Then if its still too slow, up the boost
That would'nt be the case if the light comes on all the time. If you touched the brake pedal, and the light comes on the yeah. Thats what i have
I'm pretty sure that all the brake lights, parking lights etc. work because I got out and checked them. I have aftermarket "ferrari" tail lights (unfortunately) so maybe they've been wired up wrong or something?
Happy Zedding mate, I hope everything works out ok. I'd check over everything, maybe get someone who knows their stuff to go over your zed to find any faults that could potentially cost you money down the line. The light you mentioned is an indication to a blown light bulb. I got some nice new rims from UAS for around $1,400. They're a really nice. If they take you fancy
I quite like those rims! I may go for them when the time comes to upgrade. Purchasing the zed nearly cleaned out my bank account and I still have to pay for the insurance and rego coming up. After that I'll start pumping money into the car. Maintenance will be my first priority, followed by power then cosmetics. I have a lot of plans for this car. It will be the ultimate money pit :zlove:
Are you implying that 175 is good or bad? First pic: Had to leave it sitting in the rain while I went to work Can't wait to get home tonight and see her again :zlove:
Yeah it was. I've got all the receipts so maybe I'll scan them some time and upload them for people to see.
