NSW TECH & BBQ DAY...

OK, people... our Castle Hill factory venue is open for a repeat Tech & BBQ Day before Christmas... if numbers warrant!! It'll be a Tech Day ONLY if jobs are requested thru' the forum so that Tech Gurus know what they're in for!! If you're NOT interested in a Tech Day but would like to participate in a BBQ-Get Together where the only topics of discussion being allowed are Zeds and how a certain (un-named, 'cause I don't like 'em) Sydney RL team beat Melbourne!! If your wives/girlfriends and kids don't come we can include S-#-X in the conversations...
If it turns into a BBQ only day, we can organise an outdoor barbie and you can bring your own steaks, etc. As mentioned for our previous Tech (?) Day, there is plenty of room for parking and play space for kids. Might even organise some drag races with remote cars... winner will receive a Brand New GTR (or picture of one, whichever I can get hold of!!)
If no-one is interested, just don't reply to this thread... suffice to say, the venue is available. Indications of what and when you want work done will be assessed.

Been a long while since i have been on here, i have been caught up with work and other comittments, but yes it seems like i may be making a comeback.

Would be interested in getting my hands dirty at one of these event's, only issue is my zed might be getting some panel work by then so i would hope that i am still welcome with a REAL GTR MIKE....

It would be fantastic to catchup with everyone again really.

Dont make too late in the year it tends to get tooo busy for everyone i believe...

Of course GTR's are welcome although just be careful, last tech day a GTR turned up and the trees didnt like it...tried to drop branches on it and everything

im pretty new here and have never been to a tech day and really want to - if my zed is fixed by december.

so what usually happens on these days?? like start with a cruise, bbq then working on cars/swapping of info??

we take to the cars with hammers and chisels then we knock eachother out!!!!! Oh we eat on the proviso we have teeth left..

HAHAHAH just kidding... Its all bout zeds, usually repair, add, remove cahnge items on the vehicle, further more men comapring sized of theirrrrrr rims and mufflers information swapping and an abundance of knoweldge to share.. Generally a good turn out with lots of great people... A must if you are a beginner so we can use your car as test bed before we put them on ours HEHEHE

So long as we get a thumbs-up from the Tech Gurus (Guys????).... remembering our last tech day resulted in Wizard working on putting his own car back together... and virtually no-one seeking work to be done on their cars.
A Tech Day usually consists of anyone with a problem to be fixed and/or work required (new shocks fitted, electronic adjustments, new seats fitted, etc, etc) listing same on the forum so tech guys know what's needed to be done and can prepare accordingly to help. After our last poor turn-up, this day will only take place if numbers warrant.
Get-togethers are all very well and always enjoyable, but a Tech Day is a Tech Day only if technical work and help is needed to be done. The last one at our factory left me out of pocket for food and drinks, so in future, I think we should bring our own steaks, etc, and I'll provide a barbie and possibly drinks. As mentioned, there is plenty of room to park and play, and wives, girlfriends, and kids are all welcome. Will provide some entertainment for on-lookers while cars are being worked on... unfortunately, Hi-5 (one of whose members is my cousin!! True!!) and Pammie Anderson (one of whose BayWatch episodes I've seen!) can't make it... maybe my grandson's rockband will attend.... hmmmm!!!

 

well to start with something that needs fixing, besides half my car, is my reversing lights or 200km service if i have money by then

i'm looking at a nice N/A 2+2 atm so might be back in a zed for this.

 

Hmm providing I get everything up to scratch and plugged (oil leaks.. ) I plan to carry out a 200K service, I may possess the knowledge / tools to do it myself by then who knows, else the beer will come out in force :biggrin:

Possibly some N/A headers too

Defo interested even if its just for a short cruise or get-together

Hahaha.... no worries, Booboo!! I've spoken to the trees and given them all a big green hug. Only thing they won't guarantee is if the bloody minor birds start fighting in the branches... and they apologised for aiming a branch at you - seems they didn't recognise the GTR from above, and thought it was a Common-dore...

 

Hey guys, I plan to do a 200K service - I don't really know how this tech day business works but I would like to do it myself if I can get a hold of the appropriate tools etc. But yes definite interest from me what kind of timeline are we talking about?
