Just to confuse you even more, JP did some research a couple of years ago, and there is a 2+2 slick-top roof listed for the Z32, in the spare parts catalogue of NISSAN JAPAN.:zlove::zlove:

Ive seen some really nice 2+2's and some really nice 2 seaters. It depends on what the owner does with the car.

I think you 2+2 owners should get a room so you can all stroke each others extra length. :whatever: What a load of bollocks its looks better :bash:

LMAO, the 2+2 looks like fat arsed old tart. The 2+0 looks like the GT car it was always supposed to be.

:O don't tell me they are expensive!? I was planning to run my ZX off peanuts rather than fuel... there goes that idea.

    I guess it's God's way of saying "Sorry"(you know what I'm talking about, don't you?...The fact that 2+2's consistently out-handle 2+0's).:zlove::zlove::zlove:

You know, I see people saying this all the time. But I defy anyone here to actually prove it.

Proof being, two identical cars with the 2+0 actually handling worse or being slower around a track.

All we have is some wanker in the US who says "he thinks it is better" or "he feels it is better" or the best one LOL "specs say it should be better"

That isnt a FACT. That is BULLSH!T. NONE of these throw away comments are FACT

The slot car was originally a factory hack according to JP. It could have just as easily been a 2+0 for all the selection he made.

The 2+0 is lighter and more nimble. I defy anyone to say it wouldnt be better than a 2+2 on a tight track like Winton.

You have good point. If the 2+2 did handle alot better than the 2+0 then the slicktops would had came out as 2+2's because slicktop was made for track use. But they were only released as 2+0 ;)

    Sports car...

Well, Porsches come in 2+2 and so do front engine Ferrari's. So you can't really say that sport cars don't have 4 seats. Supercars and race cars maybe...but not sport cars. Unless of course Ferrari's, Porsches etc are classified as family cars because of the 4 seats...? :)

2+2 handles better as well due to longer wheelbase...yet another reason to jump on the bandwagon. The only negative is they are slightly heavier than 2 seaters...

    Cheers

You took the words out of my mouth! including the 'wishing I had more seats sometimes' but yea totally agree, hella funny watching mates argue over who gets to ride with me compared to everyone else's SSS or Charade, Lancer or RX lol.

And the girl on girl thing... I mean sitting on each other in the car! ;) I LOL'd when I read your interpretation of it hehe.

As for my own personal opinion, race car in my mind doesnt associate with a 4 seater thats why I refused to have one. Im not dissing guys with 2+2, I saw Wizard's the other week, damn that thing had power but for me personally, 2 seater = race car, 4 seater = sports car. As for people whining about the lengths, I couldnt care less about the length, has to be a 2 seater!

With handling, no idea but honestly I thought the real downer to handling was the HICAS, cause mine really pisses me off. Removing that, wouldnt that add some more handling / stability in certain situations?

That actually makes pretty good sense, i've heard alot of people saying that but never saw hard proof.

    The truth...

2 Seaters were the only version sold which came with an optional Sledge Hammer. This was to give the owner the ability to smash the arse end further in than it already was...this allowed the owner to fit in tighter japanese car bays. Nissan soon abandoned this idea because in a survey conducted it turned out that Japanese buyers liked more arse showing. The reason sales dropped in North America and the Zed's life was short lived was because there was no 2+2 Twin Turbo option and we all know that Yanks like arse...

2+2's were designed for real men who aren't afraid to let it all hang out for everyone to see. :D

But hey, I'm just reading the 1992 sales brochure...so it must be true...honest!

    Cheers
    Rob. ;)

No cost option to go to a slicktop actually...

That's why my 2+2 is now a 2+0 :D I'm also considering welding the roof up...

While you at it Grahame, why not set up a similar challenge between a 2+2 and a gokart on an indoor Kart track(as long as you don't feel that's a little unreasonable).:p:biggrin::biggrin:

This is a pretty safe bet from your end. There is next to no chance that there will ever be two identical cars(one being 2+0 and one 2+2) ever being tested in that fashion(both cars would also need to be driven by the same driver, to keep things equal) and both would need to have identical power output. Pretty hard to achieve with 18-20 year old vehicles.;):zlove:

On a slightly different tack, would these "wankers from the US" be the same wankers who voted the Z32(2+0) into BEST Sport Car for several years(and then decide that the 2+2, which they didn't get, was better)?:zlove:

i think the 2+2 is by far a better looking car , even tho i got a 2+2 and a 2+0 siting in the driveway.. ow yeah plus a BMW plus a Honda , plus a VL ( V8 mate, injected) show car , plus hehehe we wont get into that ,,, nuff said ,,,,
Simon will be happy to know that the BMW is black, he also seems to think it is way better looking then my zed ... ( kiss ma but )

You know what Lloyd ?? You are right. The point being that I am sure that there are piles of 2+0's that are faster or handle better than 2+2's and probably same amount the other way around.

BUT THESE "THIS IS BETTER CAUSE SOME WANKER SAID SO ONCE" COMMENTS ARE JUST RUBBISH.

For all we know the 2+2 may have suited his driving style better therefore the bias.

For what use ??? It seems that in the main, the comments we hear about that say the 2+2 is better have referred to their performance on the track.

From what I have seen so far. The competitive track cars are so removed from a road car to make any comparision just ridiculous.

This sort of logic " the Slot car and Steve Millens track car are 2+2's therefore cause these guys think a 2+2 is better they must be" Is based on a preference not on a fact.

What is needed here are people who have owned BOTH as road cars and have the only real basis for comparision in handling terms.

Even then, there are some many vehicles in different states of repair or modification that no real comparision is likely to happen.

I reckon you 2+2 guys should stop grasping at straws, and admit that there is NO real difference between the two apart from the fact the 2+2 has a FAT ASS and looks a bit odd cause its too LONG to be a real sports car. :bash: LMAO

    2+2

all the way boys and girls.

2+0 look like the 2+2 got punched in the behind :p

however the 2+2 might as well be a 2 seater with all of the NO room in the rear. however if you find two skinny blondes, the seats are perfect LOL :):)
