Actually...make that the next few weekends... Concept Z comes through again...delivery in 3 days from the US...still can't believe it... @_@ Cheers Rob.
knowing you several months then in the end bring it to a tech day lol how are you OTHER bits going oh and remember the mod i msged you about? 1st fiberglass layer is down and looking sweet
Indeed... But will try to install as much as I can this weekend while I have the time to. I have started polishing the other 'bits' but I can see it's going to take me a long time...I think I need to invest in an electric sander just to get the bumps out. Right now I just do a little bit each night...lol Yeah I got that pic but I thought it was a photoshop? Is it? It looked cool though... Rob.
Should be able to do that in a weekend, if not a day Rob... Helps when you get a mate over, they do one side while you do that other. One tip I will give you, careful when tightening up the inner bold on the camber arms... That larger nut is what adjusts the toe. So hold that one with a spanner, and tighten up from the nut on the other side.
niceeeeeee, handling and breaking ...with a wheel alignment after finished should feel like a totally different car
Agreed. That's mad! And 3 days delivery from US? I'm gonna order some stuff from there! Cheers, -Kirill
Not from US...from Coz who is in US specifically. If only all US vendors would be as efficient as Coz. I'm still waiting on parts from a well known Zed-Guru in the US for over 6 months. Edit: nice parts by the way. i agree that it shouldn't take more than a weekend. I did pretty much all that (minus the camber arms) in a weekend.
Cheers Jono... Thanks for the tip mate... Yeah, I'll be having some of the boys over to help of course...always drag them in for an adventure pulling cars apart... I can see I will be cursing to high heavens by the end of the weekend... But at least i'll be busy right... Rob.
Yes. 324mm Rotors... Yup, they are the larger 324mm (12.75") Brembo rotors off the 350Z Track model. Comes with adapters for the stock calipers. The rears are the stock size Brembo's. I'm gonna dress up the calipers as well so that's what might take a while with all the prep/painting involved. I just put the Rotors up alongside the rims on the car now...and man, they are huge! I have 18" rims but they almost fill the whole thing... I'll try to take as many progress pics as I can and post them up as I go. The stock rotors look so inferior up against these things...I feel sorry for them...lol Cheers Rob.
Old Vs. New Brakes... Just a little pic to compare the original stock fronts with my new ones... Cheers Rob.
cool i got 324's in my 17inch rims, i have about 3mm clearence from the edge of the caliber to the rim/spokes lol
Very nice indeed Rob will make a big bling and performance difference for sure You can fit 365mm rotors on the Z32 with 6 piston calipers Just fits with a playing card or two clearance on the caliper. You do realise with the bigger rotors that you have less pad contact with the actual rotor while using stock calipers etc. Not stating that to be off putting its just I didnt realise at the time I got my first 324mm upgrade. For street use its okay but for track time I think you go backwards a little but then again depends on how keen you are while on the track. Cant wait to see the installed piccies so chop chop get it done already Jas
Mate good on ya I see your doing it this weekend, bit late for me. I have a lot of similar stuff i need to put on mine, ive even been ordering some tools to help like an air impact gun, impact sockets, bit of penetrating spray, spring compressors. ect. I have; kyb adj / eibach springs swaybars + bushes/ link kit Front upper control, torsion bars Rear camber, toe bars front/rear strut bars braided brake lines Let me know what traps you fall into or if you need a hand Cheers Steve
Where do I start? Well, the job's themselves aren't hard...it's relatively easy to access all these items and pull them out. The problem we've found is that the bolts for everything are almost seized on. We've spent most of the weekend trying to get the bolts off because they just won't budge. We sprayed them with Inox and left to sit, but it's still hard. We've pulled everything off now though which needs to be replaced, except 3 sets of brake lines. They are all done up with 10mm bolts and they are seized on tight. We managed to get the drivers side done without too much effort but the other 3 sides just wont come off. We are risking rounding the bolts just trying to get them off. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to undo these brake lines without damaging the bolts, let us know. We've tried almost every type of spanner etc...all out of idea's. Charizma just doesn't wanna let us help her...bitch! Cheers Rob.
