To what end though? Whole thing will need a paint job and there'll always be the fact that it was hit so hard.

Sounds like you got it at a good price, which means it must be as bad as it looks. I hope the owner/driver survived the crash because if it was repairable I am wondering why it wasn't. Good luck with it. Here is hoping this Zed gets rescued again.
The car was a police impound and I have spoken to the owner since it happened. Can confirm that he is a wanker and deserved the impoundment. Either way it's sounding like one of Nem's Z's is getting stripped and I want in on it.
Ok, well there's good news and bad news. The good news is that i picked the car up without issue, the bad news is that it is royally f*cked. So far just front a quick glance to get her back to a roadworthy state: New front bar New Guards(or repair) New RHS Quarter Panel A lot of RHS rear suspension bits are bent/snapped New rear Tyres New Quarter Window New Clutch Engine: New Bottom End bearings and Oil Pump + a 120k service kit for good measure Engine bay fuel lines need replacing as they piss fuel And that was just from a quick look, who knows what else may be going on. So while she is repairable its just not worth it IMO when i have my red slicktop running, registered and a perfect donor for some of the higher end gear thats on it . I will be sending the motor off to get new bearings and a new oil pump and if all checks out it will be going into my red zed.
I hope you are still able to do well from the salvage. Your damaged rolling shell and Martin Williams damaged shell both uneconomical repairs. It is such a waste when we hear that good 2+0/slicktop shells go to scrap. There is a member who is cutting the roof out of a slicktop shell. Could you trade with him?
Meh i made back a fair amount in the first day to be honest. The motor looks like it may need new bottom end bearings and a new oil pump as i started it for a few seconds and it showed zero oil pressure and had a very light tap going on.
can you turn it over and open it up? man dont be too devo. you know you have a good setup to put on the red one no matter what. stock block will handle 360kw all day worst case.
I haven't had time to pull the motor out yet as its been raining fairly heavily for a few days and its muddy where the car is. Yeah if the motor is too far gone i will throw the 28RS's, injectors and ECU on my red one till i get a good set of top feed rails.
Ok well the motor is pretty f*cked i'd say, bearings need replacement and comp test results weren't too spectacular #1: 157 #3: 142 #5: 149 #2: 150 #4: 138 #6: 138 So i'll be getting rid of it and putting the turbo kit on my red zed, along with the coilovers, 324mm brakes, plazmaman pro series FMIC and either throw the 555cc injectors on it or get the top feeds and get it on E85.
