Very nice job i like the wolf in sheep's look clothing will surprise a lot people i would luv to hear it well done mate
Went for its engineeres inspection, just have to modify a couple of small things and then all done ready to go, weighed it also today weighs 1380kg, 700kg over the front wheels and 680kg over the rear pretty impressed
thats a great weight split, how much fuel did you have for that, and was it taken with or without driver. Just curious as to how actual driving conditions are going to effect it. (not that it would be a noticeable difference)
All passed and now 100% road legal, thinking of taking it out to the drags at Eastern Creek Wednesday I will let you know how it goes
Great build! One suggestion though...take the crap, cheap looking plastic engine cover off and just have a nice clean engine...or at least plastic weld out the Holden logo / weld in a Nissan logo Cheers, Craig
Got rained out have to wait for next week Here is a photo without the cover only had it on for engineering and to hide the nitrous kit
Haven't updated you guys in a while so here we go took it out to the track for a but of fun a mate drove it and it did a 12 flat with a 50 shot of gas which wasn't to bad considering it was on street tyres and was a sludgie old std LS1 but unfortunately or fortunately depending which way you look at it it spun number 6 big end bearing turns out the nice new oil washed all the sludge out of the engine into the sump and blocked the pickup, originally I was going to just re ring and bearing that engine but then me and a mate got to talking and it was decided that the engine in the Datsun 1200 drag car would be removed and fitted to the 300zx to make way for bigger and better things in the Datsun so it began the engine swap which is now complete, new updated intake pipe, alloy radiator, oil catch can, ported throttle body and manifold, new fuel rails and braided hoses i have attached a video of it at the track and a few new photos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=652atj35o9o&feature=share
awesome!!! You should release a kit for those who want to do the LS1 conversion! I'm sure it will be in demand!
Pretty cool build mate. Still amazed at what condition zed you got and for how much. Can't wait to see the next installment.
To hard to make a bolt in kit as to much has to be modified on the actual car Yes it was a bargain and a far better car much better than some other ones I looked at that were asking in the $8000-$10000 bracket
I needed stitches, several times in fact because the stick I used had jagged notches on it. Anyway, do absolutely lurve the Beast! :br:
