Its different. I think it would look a lot better once its painted. What makes it look a little odd though, is the lack of depth around the "mouth" You probably cut it back due to the intercooler being in the way though.

I just done a quick photoshop so you can see what I mean. Im not being an ass so I apologise if its coming across that way.

I see your point mate, and no I dont see your comment as being an arse, there are several factors for the depth being where it is the least is the gap to the intercooler as it would allow the extra depth, then the mouth is the mouth of the I30 donor bar and it does not have any more depth, also the intention is to have a grill or mesh in there so the depth will not be an issue. The idea is for a larger opening than before (I had a veilside ripoff bar before) and something that will look natural enough not to cause to much attention.............. Well that is what I tell my wife  she is not that naive though.

i agree with the lack of depth loses points for me... and the shape of the mouth, widening at the top serves no purpose + looks funny...

great job, very well done but design wise they are the things i would have changed personally

the wideing at the top and the whole shape of the mouth is so it will (if I choose to) take the factory I30 Grill.

its been a while coming I know and the colour is not right (some old colour that was close but the whole car is to get resprayed and I dont know what colour yet so this is on just to avoid attention for now). The fog lights hit the intercooler pipes so I intend to gut them retain the factory lens and fill with LED's...... another future job.

OK! It's not perfect(but it's a bloody good attempt until something better comes along).
You are to be congratulated for taking on something that most of us wouldn't have been prepared to attempt(and pulling it off successfully).
    WELL DONE!!!
A lot of professional(?)businesses have not been as successful in their attempted offerings.

I think you have done a great job and once you sort out the foglight it will be even better.
Only thing that needs sorting in my opinion would be the mesh grille.Maybe something custom in chrome or just flattened mesh in a frame.
    Congrats on a great job.
