Mass production If failside can stay in business then you should make a mould and produce this bar. I like it and if the price was right, I'd even buy one from you but of course you would lose your unique front end as soon as you sold one. I agree with what was said earlier in this thread - it's a lot better than most of the front bar options out there. Great work my friend, keep it up Dibs on 1st sale if more are made
i like the bar.... But.... It looks too happy, I think if you give the front hole a more square finish, like not so wide on top... Otherwise it's a very clean bar..
a happy bar huh, I think I like that more than the catfish comments that come with my veilside. cheers, I am looking at getting the factory (I30 that is) inset which will mount the license plate as well, I hope this will break the expanse a bit. although it may end up looking like bunny teeth....
its like 2k spec and Bomex/UAS had a love child. I dont mind it. only thing I would say is the bottom lip where it curves from front to side stands out abit more compared to the top... but thats about it
Looks quite interesting. I would like to see it in a single colour so as to get a better impression of the overall shaping(it's a little indistinct because of the multi-colour at this point)but it seems to have very clean lines. Well done mate.
soon other issues have arisen with my engine so it has been put on hold while I am wirking them out, but in the next couple of weeks there will be a primered pic or 2 and maybe even colour...... damn I feel like I am channelling someone else, but no paper mache here, only expanding foam and fiber glass..... it is happening dont worry.
Yes please make your once off custom bumper made in your garage in your spare time plastic injection moulding.
the OP never said anything about mass producing the bar and i doubt he would, thats ALOT of effort to go to.... and to do a plastic bumper takes an injection mould which would be a very very $$ job to make the mould alone just saying i dont think its going to happen thats all lol
sorry all this is as far as I know a one off, I have 3 kids a sick wife who can not work and am on mature age apprentice wages. finding the cash to keep my Z going now days is a job let alone getting the gear to mass produce a bar. maybe after I win lotto.
I reckon having a sheet of mesh behind the front bar in front of the intercooler would be a nice finishing touch, while taking attention away from the big front mount intercooler. Might help avoid attention. Thought of making some ducting up for the intercooler also?
yeah both those options have been in the mix, I am also tending toward the original I30 grill and spending some time removing the fill on the top half. it has the Honeycomb pattern like the bottom half but its solid - normally it has the Reo bar behind that area.
update..... at the point where I need to fill in some minor blemishes and then on to final cleanup and paint but this is its first single colour day so I thought I would slap it on and show the progress pics Yeah she needs a wash but the engine gone (rental property has sucked my spare money so I have put my rebuild on hold) and the car is not being driven so I have not been as vigourous as needed on the cleaning.
Looks almost like a possible Nissan factory sport version like SS to holden I think maybe fill in the top corners of the mouth . That area is a little light being so close to the spotties . But nothing major and well done on your efforts !
