QLD September 19th Gold Coast - Hinterland / Jacobs Well Cruise

apparently its raining on sunday. gheyyy

 

Yeah really heavy rain starting late Saturday. Some of the roads behind Mount Tambo might be off limits, and if it's really wet, the road through Beechmont can be a little dangerous even at low speeds.

Should this event be postponed? what do those that will be attending think?

 

Postponed is a bit drastic! We can go slow through the rough bits or skip certain roads if need be?

 

Personally would prefer a nice day...wet roads and zeds...

 

agree with atleast considering a postponement. maybe get an indication of who cant make it next weekend that was down to come on sunday?

2nd that, I'm going to have a fresh set of Toyo Proxes R1Rs put on for Sunday just in case.

 

There was an incident not long ago where mclovin mcfailed and crashed his zed.

 

The rear camber arm or control arm let go "both snapped" and it was all the "alternative" routes fault. :rofl:

 

So does anyone know where I can get my clutch replaced on the Gold Coast tomorrow? I'm worried it's going to fail climbing up Mt. Tambourine

 

You could try Gold Coast Autocare at Nerang, they're 300zx specialists and could at least point you in the right direction.

 

Ive called Gavin from Autotech, and posted a thread in the Wanted section.

I just need a standard replacement clutch but need it in the next 24 hours, I was going to order one from the US but with obvious time constraints I'll have to source something local.

 

If this is cancelled who wants to go to Autosalon

 

where autosalon? I'm guessing this is one of those events where all the cars are full of LCD screens in places you can't actually view them?

Cruise will only be cancelled if it's raining Sunday Morning.
