    EXACTLY!!!!

one hell of a risk though. All it will take is someone to see the potential for parts but who knows - the worst you do is pay the same you would have when you get paid out.

Had the independant assessor come over on Saturday morning and he is going to report to the insurance company that the true market value of the car is 13000 not the 10,200 they have it listed for, he siad that as that is the value they will sue the other party for that is the value I should get from my insurance company.

So hopefully if all goes well I'll get the car back fro 3000 and get 10000 for myself.

Still having trouble locating a 2 seater rear end though for the parts to get it repaired.

Well this guy does alot of assessments for insurance companies as thats his job and that was what he said to me usually happens, he just said not to sign any release papers with the insurance company until his assessment had gone in. Once it has I am then able to contact the insurance company and they have to tell me what is assessment of the market value of the car is.

When I originally spoke with HBF about the market value they said at the start all I needed to do to get the market value rasied was to get an independant assessment from a dealer, they would then review that and increase the value on the insurance. This statement is inline with what the assessor on Saturday told me, he said he shouldn't be coaching me on what to do but didn't want me to loose out.

I'm not suprised the insurance company didn't mention it as that is how they tend to operate so that they can maximise the money they get back, there are alot of things in the small print people dont know about what they are entitled to.

I'll be calling them tomorrow to discuss it.

IMHO ... buy a straight zed n swap parts to new one

From a future insurance policy perspective and state of mind. . . I would go the route of buying a new "straight" zed and swap the parts over from the old girl.

Thats certianly a consideration but to swap the body kit, full interior kit and engine plus suspension parts would take along time.
