Did they inform you what dump pipes were fitted to the car for the before run?

And you will still need front pipes. What turbos are you using? You are not going to see a good return for your money using these big dump with stock turbos. And if you ever do upgrade your turbos then your four bolt dumps will be next to useless. Better getting something cheaper in 2.5" for example specialtyz supersplit pipes.

yeh i have the stock turbos.

the 2.5" work out to 700$ or so, still expensive, although they do look nice and i guess they are proven to help, when you really think about it its not that expensive, im just a poor bitch so everything seems expensive to me!

With stock turbos the benefit is marginal. The turbos used in this test are rated at 400hp each, MUCH bigger than stock and bigger than anything currently up and running in oz (except my car ha). This is why i originally said this test bears no relevance to most users on this forum. I didn't think the 2.5" were that expensive but that's not a bad price for the quality of the product. You definately don't need to spend the extra coin on 3". Oh and everyone with a zed is poor!

    I was........

......mistaken. Another mistake this year:bash: Come on 2009:D My second answer is the correct one I have just been informed by AMS;)

..........the offer still stands that I made earlier, that, if anyone would like to speak to the owner of that Zed, I can probably arrange it. No one has taken this up yet:confused:

    What?

Just had a look at z1 website and yes they are identical to tuneagent which I have said all along are not much bigger than stock (if at all). But still good to know what they were tested against.

Specialtyz did alot of testing on their 3" expansion downpipes (results should be simila to the AMS dumps if you know what I mean...), this chart shows before and after going from their 2.5" supersplits on sebastian's car

Tuneagent and similar smaller than 2.5" but still sold as 2.5". Those z1 pipes are identical -the same design is copied and/or rebranded by heaps of different people.
