On what you said about time and place, think there is a golden rule about anything, given enough time has passed given you dont go into personal detail and derogatory comments along those lines also I think you can find humor in anything, if you cant, lighten up, or build a bridge and get over it. No Chili, you've got it wrong again...your simply trying to twist people's perception of the issue to look like your in the right as I'm quite sure you read my posts correctly...the part I disagreed about is where you insulted and belittled someone you did not know, or know anything about, or their reasons behind saying what they did and that was in no way connected to you...apart from the unfortunate bit of being posted on a forum where one such as yourself could latch onto it and take it out of context so you could cause a cuffufle....because thats what you like doing isn't it... shit stirring, getting a reaction out of people.

I told you that I was also one of the people wondering why he had dredged up a 3 year old thread (which other people have speculated on without having to insult him) so that doesn't leave much else to disagree on except what I pointed out above, which was not really about what you posted but your insult and how you treat people...like rubbish, like the dirt beneath you.

Yes I swore and called you things before as I was obviously angry, but I regret that now as all it really does is make me the same as you, though at least I have a sound reason for showing my dislike off you.

To keep this on topic, I think the whole incident is a tragedy and really hope that not only the girls involved learn something but others that were involved indirectly and also read off it will learn a lesson from it and not repeat something so stupid. And to person who re-started this thread (cousin of the now deceased chanelle metcalfe), whether your post was innocent or had some hidden agenda, condolences to you and your family.

Just as you accuse me of ulterior motives against someone I've never met, you are choosing to use the same fantasy stories when denigrating me(someone you've never met, and know almost nothing about).
Just for the record, there is no RIGHT or WRONG in this debate, there are only individual points of veiw, and I have expressed mine(and the reasoning behind it).

The real tragedy in all of this is the terrible waste of young lives(something you have chosen to largely ignore)and celebrating the destruction of yet another young life(that of the driver)is a sick act IMHO.

Yes, she must face the consequences of her utter stupidity, and 6-10 years in a Womens Prison is guaranteed to totally destroy her forever(not something that should be a source of absolute pleasure to the young female relative who posted on this thread).
The driver would be better to have died in the accident, rather than what lies ahead for her.
ALL Life is precious, not just the Goody-Goodies.

You just totally contradicted yourself, you say that ALL LIFE is precious not just the goody-goodies while in the sentence before you think it would have been better for the Driver to have died than go to jail where she will get out and still have a life ahead of her. While it will probably destroy the person she was, maybe its for the better of herself and the community. It sure as hell won't bring back the dead girls but maybe if shes got any sense it will teach her a life lesson about responsibility of others lives.

And what do I need to ponder on, I have already expressed how I think the WHOLE incident is tragic which includes her having to go to jail to learn a lesson the hard way. How have I ignored it? Now your taking what I have said out of context again and trying to subvert it to fit what you want me to be saying so you can continue to have a reason to retaliate against what I say about you.

Its weird how, a majority of these accidents whether in zeds or other cars, the driver is usually the one to survive...dont know statistics but usuallythe driver gets away either not hurt that bad or not hurt at all, yet they take away innocent lives - ok in this particular instance there were 5 stupid girls who decided to get in the car....spose the driver was even more stupid to be showing off and driving at such rediculous speeds - anyone know why? anyone asked her - at that age the "I dont know" just doesnt cut it aanymore - when will these kids stand up and be accountable for their stupidity? i dont know if her sentence was fair or not but when is released i hope that no one gives her a license and i hope she never has the urge to want one either...

Very sad about the passengers but having so many in the car at the time i think increased the impact of their injuries...

The families have had closure - i hope it eases their pain of losing their loved ones a bit..

 

I think it's because the driver has time to sort of brace themselves with the steering wheel. Also since they're the ones driving, they can see an imminent collision / crash. Agree though, weird how the driver always seems to walk out alive.

Isn't the point of prison rehabilitation? I mean, do you really think any punishment will hurt her more than the knowledge she has killed her friends? I know if it was me, the jail time would be nothing compared with that and if I did get my licence back I would drive like a grandma all the time...she's probably scared to drive again.

Not defending her, just pointing out the facts. Reminds me of that crash where two brothers in a 300ZX crashed. The passenger died and the driver (at fault, speeding etc. from memory) only got suspended sentence form the judge, who rightly pointed out no punishment would be as harsh as killing your brother.

i dont mean to sound like a dick head or something. but you realy can fit afew ppl in a zed if need be. i know this is stupid but i have a 2 seater and i can fit 4 ppl in it with out putting anyone in the boot. i know it dumb but you can get them in there. you have the driver, then 1 person sits on the console with a leg down each side and then you can get 2 ppl on the passanger seat. its very tight but it works, very illegal. DONT TRY IT!!!! i guess you can give it a go if your not actualy going to drive it.

 

I don't think it's illegal actually...as long as both people in the seats have their seatbelts on.
