fried a whole bunch of fuses when I hooked up my missile switches wrong. really hope I didnt destroy my nitrous computer

also my broader performance transbrake has gone missing in the abiss of australia post. its been tracked but they cant tell me were it is......... not the best zedding times lately.

deleted my pcv. My turbo outlet is COATED in oil more so cause engine is probably tired but it just needs to hold out a little longer.

running two filters below the engine on the crossmember will post pics tonight.

Replaced auto cooler hard lines with exhaust and engine in. Royal PITA

The reason behind this is the old auto cooler lines had massive kinks in them blocking flow. Installing a healthy auto from a 97' 300zx about 3 months ago, the fluid was already burnt and brown after 3,000km so knew straight away something was up.

Got my zed down on all 4's for the first time in close to 2 months :)

Been flat out due to the end of semester with uni, so haven't had a chance to get to work.
Finished my last exam today, and got her back on the ground today :p

New rims, tyres, and wheel alignment tomorrow... Then all i need is a full respray due to the ****ed front bar, front guard, and the little ****ers keying my car. [TIS]

Been shining my hood today. ;)

From this. 1500 paper then 2000.

To this. Some fancy 2k cutting compound I got from protec and then mcguires polish. It's an amazing to watch the paint go from smooth and dull, to a smooth glossy shine, to the deep hue and shine the final polish puts out.

Once the whole cars done ill be waxing it.

Oh and now how bad is this. The shine and reflection off it is ridiculous. Like how can you see the colour.....lol.

Btw I'm going to have massive guns after all this sanding and polishing. Sore arms now lol. But! Onto the roof I go.

I got my car back from Andrew (ASR Automotives) today after he fitted the various exhaust components I gave him.

He did have to clearance the Specialty-Z drivers side downpipe from the steering shaft (applied a bit of heat to shape it).

The Z1 drivers side cat pipe (has a cat so its not a test pipe) did not quite fit to the Z1 H pipe and Andrew had to use 4 gaskets to make them join (fortunately I was over supplied with gaskets). What's more the Z1 drivers side cat pipe hangs too low - Andrew did the best job he could. The passenger side cat pipe fits fine.

I like the new exhaust note but it is a bit louder than before.

He also took some pics which are below:

You've got some serious paintwork to fix. Brake master been leaking has it?

Brake master is OK as far as I know.

The car wasn't well looked after before I got it. I think the rust may be from a previous battery.

You're close on the location of the source but the leak in the pics is actually gear box oil. Long story..

Andrew my mechanic installed a breather tube from the gear box to a filter he has placed near the brake master. He did this because he noticed the box was leaking oil from the breather hole (I had been doing some vigorous country driving shortly before I gave it to him to service so it must have leaked out).

I took my car to Andrew this week to fix what I thought was a rear main seal leak - or one of the other rear engine seals (because oil gathering were the box joins the motor) which is why I got him to put the dumps on at the same time if he was going to have the box out anyway. In the end though Andrew did not need to pull the box - he fitted the dumps with it still in. It turns out the leak that I thought was a rear main seal leak and that in those pics looks like a brake master leak is actually gear box oil from the breather tube near the brake master.

Andrew says that redline oil does that, it gets foamy and works its way up the tube and out the filter. He offered to change to a different oil that doesn't do that but I like redline so I will keep it in.

I'm actually wondering about fabricating (or getting a friend to fabricate) something to collect the oil so it doesn't do that (placing the filter on the end of the hose not going to anything looks ugly anyway so would improve the look as well).

Yeah I'd like to fix the paint, not exactly an easy location to get to though.
