Geez, way to **** up a car. I've got an original speedo if you want to fix the whole thing up. Is it just a bad picture or do those faces really look that bad? Is your car ever going to do to 300? Nope never. Get a grip and buy a piece of leather for the console lid instead of wasting your money on those ridiculous, superfluous gauge faces. That lid is really tacky.

On a positive note, I do have some parts if you need anything to help fix that mess up. PM me (if you can stand my humble opinion) and I'll help out the best that I can.

    Best Regards,
    Evan.

I am not done with this yet (its not a diaster untill I say so)
    1. there is not lid on the dials forgot to put it back:p.
    2. I manage to broke one needle cover,
    3. the hole in those dial is little bigger then the stock ones that way u see the glue and the light behind it.
    4. All the letters light up blue. well suppose too will have to fixed that too.

All the dial looks sweet in the day very different and way better then then stock ones.

It might not do 300km but its atleast cabable of doing 250km. Just need to take it to the tracks.

These are just the stickers and we change the resister to read the correct speed. Rest all the hardware is stock.

its not a mess its half done project as we ran out of sun that day and we had to rush things. I done this first time and got 80% things working which is not bad.

Mind you i am loving it in the day.

touch wood...but if it does end up in disaster i will be knocking on your door for the parts.

    yeah chin up.

My mate with the black 300ZX is on his 3rd set of guage faces because this very same project keeps fking up.

it looks easy, but its not.

Sure I agree (as i said toung in cheek) that a 300kph speedo is a bit of a waist, but hell, so are $2000 wheels. So are retrim kits. So are engine mods good for 600rwhp on cars used to go to the shops and back. So are MOST of these things we do to our $8000 worth of cars.

    Each to thier own.

Good on ya Rove :D Keep it up.

Yes, wheel alignment booked for tomorrow. Shame they don't work in the weekend. Already started to get complain from work..."You are spending too much time with your car".

    More things to check

Aidan, I was just looking through the service Manual, and I notice that for Electronic Ignition, the following are used as inputs:
    • CPS
    • MAFS
    • ECTS
    • TPS
    • VSS
    • Ignition
    • Knock Sensor
    • Battery
Then, looking at the fuel system, the following are inputs:
    • CPS
    • MAFS
    • ECTS
    • Ignition
    • TPS
From the common parts from both lists, you have replaced the PTU and the CPS. What about the TPS or the MAFS? I don't know for certain but if the ECTS was playing up I don't think it would cause your symptoms, but that's a guess.
