[VIC] VIC Cruise to Cowra.....>>

With Easter fast approaching I thought it is about time to organise the Vic crew for the cruise to Zed fest. Traditional start point is the Shell Servo at Kalkalo, and google maps says the drive takes about 8 hours. Who wants to travel up in a group and what time should we get underway?

Mikey, Jack, and I are currently planning to travel up to Cowra on the Thursday so we can get to Bathurst on Good Friday to see some of the "Festival Of Sports Cars" action. Please don't wait for us! We'll meet up with you all on Friday evening.

Yea as i said i would go. but currently being a student doesn't really permit the $500 splurge on fuel just for a weekend. as I'm sure I'll live without attending this years

 

Yeah Doug, Mikey mentioned that you guys were going up early. Looks like a cruise of one (Jen and I) at the moment.

* The health of my Z.......she's a bit sick at the moment!

and most importantly......

* Kel's parents are coming to visit from Adelaide for Easter!........so I'll have to bribe her with nice gifts to let me go!!!

Any other VIC crew going up? ...........c'mon you know you want to!

 

We will get your car sorted on Monday, might even be able to sort out the accomodation problem too.

 

Tim (Baroo) MAY not be going (he won't commit yet, so, tough for him). In that case there will be room with us "Old Farts" and Ben (you may have to share a double bed, though (bring some bricks!)! Personal question: Do you fart in bed?

I don't think Simon or any of the "Nighttime cruise club" are going. Maybe it is because we are travelling during the day? :biggrin:

P.s: My above sarcasm is to inspire more people to go on the big interstate trips....... The more that go, the merrier it is..

I was really looking forward to this, but because of a work promotion I now work three out of four weekends...while waiting for my new roster to be confirmed I missed my chances at getting accomodation as I couldnt be sure if i'd be free...not to mention many thousands the zed has cost me over the past 6 months...The Nissan Nationals last year was soooooo good! Its going to be a BIG shame not being able to share the good times again this year...

What else do we have coming up on the calendar for a godo getaway? I should be able to put in for annual leave next time I love going away with the Zed crew!

there should be another Berri show n shine in SA later on this year.... its always a good weekend, as long as you're prepared to drive the 8 hrs to SA...

although, I really hope its not in november this year because I will be in the U.S at that time....

dissappointed in you vic zed boys, i mean we all conoyed all the way down there for Phillip Island and you guys are too lazy, and it you think it will cost you $500 in petrol you need a tune badly i am running rich and can get 700 on the freeway off 60L

 

Cost me not much over $300 in fuel to get from Brisbane to Melbourne.

its usually only the old timers that make the intersate trips....

having said that, for some of us, the easter weekend is just not a suitable weekend for us to pack up and go...... the family doesnt take kindly to it... You would probably get a few more attending if it wasnt on easter, but then you would have to find another weekend with a 4-5 day weekend which would be difficult....
