sorry, new to all this.... I was reading these headers are the 'single biggest boost you can give to a non-turbo'...so I'm very interested I notice on their perfomance chart, they list the headers at stage 5 ? Is it pointless getting them if you only have the standard exhaust and air intake ? How much do they affect: - fuel consumption ? - engine wear ? - engine temperature ? If someone can answer my ignorant questions, it'd be a big help !
Let's see..... I'm no expert......so others please feel free to add/correct anything?? The headers are designed to be an integral part of a performance exhaust system!.......it would not be pointless to get them......but their biggest gains will be made in accordance with a Pod filter, nice 2.5" cat back system & if you can afford it some Hi-flow cats???...... so in order I would go: 1 Pod filter.....as these days they are quite cheap! 2 Cat back exhaust......get rid of the restrictive OEM set-up 3 then headers 4 Hi flow cats! As far as fuel consumption & engine wear.......the whole idea is to improve the air flow through your engine!......make it run more efficiently!....so I can't imagine it will increase engine wear???....but it may effect fuel consumption??.....after all more power usually means more fuel!! As far as engine temps.......the HPC coating is designed to help keep engine bay temps down.......whilst also helping in the air 'flow' through the headers!!.....it helps reduce 'hot spots' due to friction etc at changes in pipe direction.........& therefore allows 'smoother' more efficient air flow! Hope this helps a little??...... but also keep in mind the TTZED headers are no longer readily available unless in this type of GB purchase!! .....as the manufacturer will not make 'one off' items!!......so now may be a good time to get some if you are seriously wanting them for your car?? Correct!!....... At this stage ALL the existing TTZED stock was sold in the 1st round of this GB!.....so individual items will not be available in the near future???.....but who am I to speak on behalf of TTZED!!!.......but realistically they will need to be purchased in batches of 6 or more in the future!!......hence the reason for this GB 2nd round!

For pod filters, alot of the members are using the Apexi power intake kit supplied by Caz. They are around the 140 dollar mark I think. Fleet was selling the filters for 100dollars a few weeks back so check with him. I have the same as the kit fleet was selling, I'm not sure if this is what caz sells though. My kit came with the Apexi filter as well as a gasket and it bolts straight to the Air Flow Meter. I didn't buy mine from the forum though, Skylines Australia had a deal going so I got one from there As for the exhaust, I'm replacing my exhaust from the back to the front, in that order. I've alread got a cat-back and I've ordered highfow metal cats and custom engine pipes (pipe that connects headers to the cats). After all this is done then the headers will go on but I'm still a few months away from having the money to buy and install the headers so hopefully there'll be another run in a few months time.
Russ are they only done in batches of 6 so someone could possibly miss out if there are 7 interested? just wondering
Min of 6 or more?? 6 is the min number required!! so if we get more then it's a bonus!!......but in this case we only need 5 as Simon wants to keep a set for reference!

This next batch of headers will need to be made from scratch......pipes cut, bent, tack welded in jig, flanges laser cut, welding finished by hand, HPC coated etc etc.......so I would estimate at least 4-6 weeks to complete the whole process?? So you would have almost 2 months to make full payment! All you would need now is the $290 deposit to secure a set??......followed by a further $245 for HPC if you want this???.....when they are ready to be coated......probably in 2-4 weeks from placing order?? Can you tell I'm trying to twist your arm!!!
We have 5 interested!! Ok guys.......we now have had 5 members express serious interest in this 2nd round!.......but as yet no PM's for payment details??? I'm going to let this GB run until the end of this month!! ......as Caz doesn't get back until the 18th & I think she can help get some NZ zedders involved also!......plus it gives a few others some time to get their cash together??......as I know there are a few also considering these!!! :zlove: So please pay your deposits asap so we can at least get the ball rolling!!
