QLD Tech, Cruise, Housewarming, Sleepover at Dalby! 28th Feb - 1st March

I'm working but I'll see if I can get out of it so safe me a spot.

 

So, those that are going.. where are we all meeting for the nice long drive up there?

 

i might suggest that one of the usual cruiZe organisers from the "big smoke" arrange start/meet points for GC and Brissie folk (pex, rob, baz?)
(probably needing a reasonably early start if we're getting out to Karls, then doing tech arvo after engines cool down )

Do the convoy to Toowoomba and meet at the Mobile servo just at the top of the Toowoomba range (on the left) for fuel up/piss stop.
That's where i'll meet you guys, then we can do the last trek out to Dalby from there. (approx 50mins)

Sound ok?

.. could even involve an early arrival/stopover at a certain BAR in Toowoomba ...!!!!

... and heading off to "chez big K" the next day ...????

 

Well for those that are going from the middle section ie logan area Springwood maccas would be a good spot to meet up with the coast guys..

 

Be advised it has been 'cool' here of an evening so a sleeping bag or something to keep you warm when you go to sleep (for those that sleep). Heaps of space for tents if you got them.

A camp chair will be a good accessory also to save fighting over the dozen chairs we have here.

 

it being 'cool' will help the zeds cool off alot quicker too.. more time for tech work!

Yes, im bringing a carload of goodies out for one day only My other half Jess and her little fella Blake haven't be on a Z cruise before, and they're both extremely excited to be coming along for the ride

It's been quite a while since i've been on a cruise myself, i think the last was actually for 90TTZ's 'Suprise' cruise

So yes, we're keen

Nice work Choofa, we're getting quite the Quality Toowoomba crew comming on board with you, Adz_79 and myself it'll be a very fun weekend. Hope you're bringing your "family" sized tent mate, oh, and lots of boooooZe to drink!

 

I have another ZED coming along now.. He's new to the scene
Picking up THIS one on saturday. got him down to 7000 as his power steering has a leak and there is exhast leak somewhere underneath the car too.. so it being a tech day and all can someone have a squiz to actually find out what needs fixing.

 

I might have blown a boost hose somewhere so this would be a great opportunity to have it looked at, but I have nothing to offer in return for anyone's help....
What about us who can't really help out, how can we/I return the favour?

 

Just bring lots of alcohol.. everybody loves alcohol..

 

Coronas then? I assume some kind of beer but I dont drink...

I'll say I'm coming but it's tenative... I won't be staying the night so it shouldn't matter too much. That, and hardly anyone knows me so I'll just blend in to the scenery

 

Im sure anyone would help out for a corona or the like..

 

The biggest insult I find is when people ask me to help fix their car and stick around for five minutes and then go and chin wag to everyone else while I do all the work The best thing you can do is learn from what people teach you so then at future tech days you can help others in distress rather than the select few that end up getting dirty every time.

And yes, beers are good too

Yeah, its got a TT rad as well.. I was surprised.. the guy that owns it now is a kid and has no idea about them so I would say the owner before him took really really good care of it..
