Just a few more hours rubbing the things back a little more, and sealing them water tight, then they're off to the spray booth for a nice glassy paint job to match the Zed.

That will look sweet once it's finished.

Why did you change to this from your old set-up?

I can get just as much SPL with 2 subs, plus

I was looking for better weight distribution and more boot space. Being able to get to your spare wheel easily AND tie down your targa's as Nissan intended also had to be allowed for too.

    Should make a mould,

Should make a mould, I am sure there would be a few interested in a group buy on coupe sub enclosures.

Mate, You have to rip a mould off those !!

I would buy two straight away.

I was going to not use a sub cause the space is already limited in the boot. But I would definitely buy those.

    Great work dude !!!

    couple of questions

    hey mate,
    they look really nice.
    couple of questions,
are you doing the painting yourself?

what subs are they, i'm guessing pioneer. what size are the enclosures?
i'm thinking of putting a couple of subs in mine but looking for good subs which need a small enclosure size.

    cheers.

The subs are Pioneer 12" bullets,

I used these because I had them sitting around from the last install and they have a huge magnet cover which made it a bit easier to allow for huge magnets on other brands of subs. You can also invert them and they still clear the hatch by about an inch. They fire right into the corner of the hatch where it is strongest so should get better compression for SPL as well as nice SQ listening also. They are about 1 cubic foot in size, give or take a bit, but haven't checked just yet, most subs are built to work best in this size enclosure anyway.

I am looking at making moulds and selling them,(DUBSPEC:p) but will look at costs etc after I finish these to a level I would be happy to export. I gotta be unique for at least a little while! :)

I might also do a tonneau cover-less version too for those who want to delete it all together. I've just bought a brand new one so there's no way I'm leaving that baby out!

LOL, the plan atm is daisy chaining 2 1200.1 Kickers

for over 2500W of boom :D

Will have to put 2 sets of splits in the front just to keep up ;) What a pity!
