I had a great time today! Over 600 kms with the car now gripping like "sh#t to a blanket" thanks to the recent upgrades of adjustable camber kits front and rear and adjustable radius rods front, so the 265s front and 285s rears are securely and squarely planted on the road. I left ACT at 07:00 , T Tops off, in 15 degrees - we Canberrans are built tough. Just out of Canberra I passed an original Ford GT 40, I repeat, an original one. Geez they're not a very big car are they? As I was catching up to it I thought - Lotus? - because of the size, but nice throb from the motor.... see 1st pic. Bumped into a friend at Sutton Forest Maccas who was going to Sydney to catch up with mates. He was wearing shorts (ha ha - it was a bit cold) and we chatted for about 15 mins. I thought I was going to be late so put the foot down and got to Loftus Oval spot on 10:00. We went from Loftus Oval to Garie Beach, Otford Lookout where we met up with Caz, then a quick stop at Sublime Point, and on to Albion Park where we met up with Mr Zee and Waz, driving Michael's newest acquisition - a silver 2+0 manual TT - nice car! It being about 1:30-2:00, obviously we had spent far too much time talking and such, we decided to cruize to Kiama and take some photos at the Blowhole, rather than the extended trip up Macquarie Pass. I didn't mind because I would have to take the Pass to get home to Canberra anyway. So some photos at the Blowhole and some great conversation and 4:00 pm had come and gone. Finally, the drive home (I always like the conversation heaps, but I also like the drives). But with a Zed that is always the case - Great Power + Great Handling = Great Enjoyment. I got home after 7:00 - still a respectable hour. Thanks all. Some Pics. Cheers, Peter An impromptu game of "STATUES" initiated by Steven. I think Muz is onto it.
Some more pics It was a great day, nice to meet some new faces too. It's a shame we were missing some of the usual cruise members... Wizard, Chili, zx299... Good turnout nevertheless. Loftus Oval car park Garie beach car park (Royal National Park) Driving through the National Park Since everyone was already taking pictures of the cars I thought I'd take pictures of them. How cute  Nice bonnet scoop, I noticed it slowed him down on the hwy Didn't it Geoff? Geez these cars looks low! That's the nice thing about having pictures taking on grass
Yep a great cruise! Maciej (I think prounced Mar che) and Hanna are very nice people. Maciej is one awesome zed fan. Check out his website at www.z-car.net and yes he should get some sort of an award for rebuilbing his engine in the kitchen! He has done soe amazingly simple things to his zed and of course invented his shift at will device which looks pretty cool in Steven's car. But the one I like most is he has attached an amplifier to the knock sensor and listens to it vis headphones while driving so he can quickly pick up on detonation. Now having already lost one engine to this I would love to do this too but there must be an easier way or alarm for detonation. Anywho they are really nice people and it was another great Zed cruise with an overly ambitious schedule, nonetheless it was a hoot. cheers Geoff PS. Leave my tripod alone and secondly John aka Z-ster when were you ever in front of "Back Bart" to see the scoop anyway apart from in the parking lots
Awesome I was meant to go but was buggered from work, what a top day that would of been, let me know the next route

Thanks everybody for a great time in Sydney! Both me and Hanna had a great time with the Sydney Zedders. A big thanks to everybody, specially Steven, Jeff and MattB. Thanks to you we've had the opportunity to visit places and do things that not many tourists do. You are welcome to contact me if you come to Stockholm. I'll be happy to show you around and organise a Zed cruize with the Stockholm Z-club members. Best regards from Cairns! (damn it's hot here...) We land in Melbourne on the 30th of November and hope to meet the Melbourne Zedders on the 3rd of December. Cheers, Maciej
Hahahahaha! Chili's going off! Sure wish you guys had been there. Lloyd there's a little surprise for ya in my production, damned rego plates take ages to blank out but it's looking pretty good at this stage.
Here's a group photo from the cruise If this image works, then thanks to Mafi-zed for his post on imageshack image hosting. if not, it is entirely my fault also thanks to Marsss for organising the photos cheers Geoff
.... Enough is enough just about describes it... I think you guys should take the rest of your conversation to either PM or email as this was not meant to be the thread subject...don't you agree? My 2 cents. The rest of us....... Group Hug!:LOL:
Re: Maciej should get some sort of an award for rebuilding his engine in the kitchen. I think Hanna should get the award for letting him!
Had a great day...Until I got off the freeway homebound.....>>> Mr PLOD followed me with lights and sirens in and out of the traffic, I pulled over and was about to open my door when he slamed it shut and asked for my license, I got the feeling he was dissapointed I wasn't a "young'n" and a P plater, "Is this japcrap your car sir?" Is that crapadore your car sir? was my reply, he called me a "smartarse" and went through the whole car like he was on a mission, he was looking for a pod and BOV's but didn't find any (thank god for the nose panel) then he asked if it was a turbo and I confirmed it was indeed then he had another look under the bonet and said "you must think I'm stupid" I bit my lip and got back in the Zed, He was satisfied it was legal and drove off, now he had pulled someone over about 300 meters down the road and when I went past him I could'nt help myself... Pesssshhhhhhtt, hehe ..... I hope I dont get a ticket in the mail
