Series 2000 tail lights with/without centre panel GB

why would you want leds in brand new 2k spec tail lights

 

i was wondering that too.I have 2k lights and the light distribution and brightness does not warrant them,save your money mike

 

The brighter the better im going to get some anyway change one light and compare. They cost bugger all and it seems most drivers wont see your indicator until you put your brakes on and start slowing down

 

Okay all GB 1 participants here is the latest.

Coz has 20 RH lights in and 10 centre panels but no LH as yet still on backorder. I am going to call Coz early tomorrow morning as I just tried a few minutes ago but just missed them as its 5:20 pm ish in Arizona now.

Our options are limited at this time we can

A - stick it out

B - Cancel the order and refund money

C - refund the money but keep the order (however money will need to be retransferred almost straight away when the order is fullfilled as Coz has my CC details and will debit it when the order is filled)

Option D - Is to can the GB and run with TTzed preorder offer as individuals. I spoke with Jenny this morning and the shipment is due to hopefully leave Japan in the next week or so and may be up to 10 weeks or so before being available.

I am going to call Coz in the morning and push him a bit too see if he can run the tracking numbers etc of the shipments to see where they are and give us a more indicative timeframe as its dragging on a bit.

Will keep the thread updated with new info as it happens

Option E...

Find out where Coz gets them from and go directly to that source.

Somewhere down the line they are coming from Japan. Nissan Japan.

Maybe we can contact them and order through there...shipping should be less because Japan is closer than the US. And you wouldn't get charged double on shipping.

My guess though is that Japan doesn't have enough units to satisfy all buyers around the world...

has been asked, but how long after the closing date off the buy, before the lights are posted to the buyers. Are the items on back order atm.

You will have the same issue if you order direct from Japan, trust me.
If I were in this group buy, I would have patients. I know it has been a while but when dealing with anyone overseas, even sometimes in Aus, this isn't uncommon.
It is as usual up to the individual if they choose to back out, but Jason is doing his upmost to make sure you all get your orders as quickly as he can.
Coz is in a similar situation, he has to wait for them to be shipped to him too remember, so I am guessing it is a manufacturing issue ( NOT 2nd and 3rd supplier issues).
Have patients, it does pay.....

Hi Rob I chased up the info you requested via PM and I did make a small error in the calcs. The centre panel by itself will cost the same as Zsters price of $135 plus on send costs to you in WA. Zster is local so had no onsend allowance built in. Yes $50 is a bit steep to send to WA. I just checked on Aus post website and $20 should cover it. So your total for the centre panel by itself will be $155 AUD to your door. Let me know what you want to do as I will have to let Coz know he has 10 in stock to fulfill our current order but will need 1 more if you are in so let me know asap so the order isnt delayed any longer than necessary.

My resolve is to do whatever the participating buyers want to do. If the consensus is to can it I will if its to stick it out I can do that too. Shaq has already pulled out whick leaves us with 9 full sets plus 1 extra centre panel for Z ster and possibly one for Rob (Z force). Coz has confirmed he has the RH lights and 10 centre panels and waiting on the back order of LH lights. I am going to call him in the morning to hassles him a bit for a more concrete timeframe. It will be a majority rules vote from now on due to the minimum numbers for the GB to proceed being reached so if you want out and the majority want to stick it out then we stick it out as a group.

Hopefully I can post some good news in the morning Fingers, Toes, legs and arms all crossed.

 

i would rather stick it out since i definitely want the tail lights.. if we can this then i'm not seeing any other better options to get hold of a set..

some kind of time frame estimate would be nice though (altho its pretty hard if our supplier cant get one)

 

Okay I rang Coz at about 3am this morning he checked and the back order is with Nissan Japan. Apperently there has been a backlog due to manufacturing difficulties but orders are starting to come through to various suppliers. Coz's order is deemed to be in transit for the back ordered LH lights and is expected at any time. Thats the best he could do. So in all reality could be 2 days or another 2+ weeks both myself and Coz is unsure. I will keep on him though and post info when known.

See how you go Rob260 let me know if anyone PM's you and if not we may be able to squeeze you in as Shaq pulled out. I did change the order to 9 fullsets but sure we can add another 1 set to take us back to 10. Would have to confirm with Coz though.

Im down for option 'A' as well, 2 weeks 2 days whatever we've come this far. If nothing happens in 2 months ill be opting for option 'AK' we can get ourselves some ninja suits and find out where Coz lives

Hi all

Well still getting the run around from Coz which as you know I havent been to happy about. As a result I have been on the search for another supplier with them in stock and ready to go for a reasonable price. I have found that AMZ in the US has 12 full sets in stock and ready to go enough to fullfill our order of 9 full sets and 1 centre panel. Only prob is it may cost a tad more than thought maybe $20 at most worst case. Mitchell has quoted 410 USD for the set which is $20 USD more than COZ but has come in at around $160 cheaper on freight and still sending the shipment via USPS airmail 4- 10 day service.

Will have a firm price once the order is given its the way we choose to go.

I think given the delays thus far this is the way to go but wanted the consensus before going ahead with anything.

I will have to let him know at about 12am tonight so let me know

I am not part of this group buy, but based on the feedback Mitch currently has on twinturbo.net, I certainly wouldn't be sending him any money.

Hope I didn't just tread on some toes.

 

I have got a few things from Mitch in the past month or so and found everything went smoothly. he has only justed to ship internationally again maybe as a result of the few bad eggs rubbishing him in the US. A bad rep is hard to shake.

UAS still cops flack over the air guides etc that was done ages ago so I dont realyl listen to too much hearsay but wont risk anyones money either on unproven suppliers etc. My gear has arrived okay from him so all good in my book
