It's not about being made of money, but spending what you have efficiently! I'm not suggesting that you chase every last killa wasp but that you could spend your money in better places.

The point I'm trying to make is that the stock intake system is good for plenty of go and that unless you've got your heads right I don't think spending money on opening up the hole (intake system) in front of it is going to deliver efficient returns.

To answer your OP though Emile, I'd say twin AFM's sound good!

Problem is, I'm already all paid up, and I refuse to sit here crying over it and like I keep saying, its still going to be a monster of an engine. Sav's engine build and mine are almost identical. Same Turbos, Same Forged Gear, Same Injectors, Same Cams, Same Springs, Same Dumps, Same ECU... where we differ, I have 1mm O/S valves, I believe he had 0.5mm, he had Mildly Ported Heads, mine were Ported a bit more, and now, he had Factory Intake Pipes with Selin, I will have Larger Intake Pipes with Selin.

He managed 324 RWKW @ 16 PSI, and I think 375 @ 20? That is still a very commendable result Rob. I'd be over the moon for that, even if you wouldn't be.

I wonder what the fall out is going to be if come Tune Day she blows those figures away... if nothing else, I'm even more determined to find that out now.

Make sure you get some material removed from the heads around where the lifters fit in and heavy duty valve springs, so if you do decide to go larger cams later on you don't have to worry about little bits of metal going through your motor and the massive PITA that is changing valve springs :p

Don't think anyone posted any before/after with the selin yet so here you go. Same day on the dyno. More here.

Also, before and after 2.5" intake here. Not the same day.

Looking forward to your results. Wouldn't be surprised at a big upset tbh.

You have to remember Emile, when I ported Sav's heads, they were ported specifially to give minimal lag while achieving respectable power. Your heads have been very well done (assuming they are the ones Chad had up for sale a while ago) but seem to be more big numbers, don't worry about lag kind of port work. These heads really want cams in them.

However I would be very interested in the dyno comparison to Sav's before you put cams in down the track. The only real difference in the 2 is head work and valve sizes.

To answer the original question, imho a selin kit or dual intake kit will made a good difference in response on any TT. That stock intake Tee is junk. My seat of the pants dyno says they pick up alot quicker with a dual intake.

Duly noted, on all points. Yes, they are the ones off Chad.

I'm not saying I refuse to put Cams in them. I'm just curious how much I can squeeze out of the Standard ones, then come the day to put real Cams in, see the improvement first hand and also gather more first hand data for other members, and I'm not the type to document lightly. Its a win for all.

Assuming all the parts get here on time (Coz & UPS seem to agree my 1st Main Parts Package should get here either tomorrow or Friday, and the smaller one the week after), I need probably 1 more month to get her on the road, not just make significant progress, and of course shortly after see what she can do.
