Its disgusting what some people can/will do, same thing happened to the missus last week a young girl was riding her bike around the car park while her mum went into the newsagent (where the missus works) rode straight into the back/side of our BA fairmont mum comes back daughter tells mother what she has done, mum said "c'mon lets go" and just leaves its like oh well not my problem and its only that other shop owners witnessed it all and thats how we found out. Your car is a piece of art work and it sucks so bad that some "drop kick" has done that, i hope you find who has done it and maybe work out a payment plan atleast just something Good luck mate Cheers Longy
One of my fave Z's As bad as that is, it could have been so much worse. Sucks bad that they didn't apologise, but on a good note at least it's very fixable

Good luck with the repairs, and id call the cops and opt for insurance to fix the repairs. That way if you do find the prick who did it you can charge him for it.
In theory that sounds right but unfortunately it's not, in insurance terms any accident that they don't have anyone else they can get money out of counts as an 'at fault' accident for the policy holder, regardless of who's 'fault' the accident actualy was. If you have had rating 1 for a while you can usually ask about no claim bonus protection, it basicly means you can have the odd thing like this and not lose your no claim bonus.
Just looked at that again Eli ...looks low and if it's contained to just that region ie.. no damage to bottom edge of hatch or rear spoiler... I wonder if you'll be looking for a white Ford or Holden Ute!!?
Those rub markings are grey... It looks like someone did a U-Turn, thought they could clear my car, and didnt. My neighbours car is a Forester with a grey plastic front bar. I was parked across the road, the other side of the Subaru. Later when my neighbour got home, i checked his car, and although there are scratches on the left side of the bumper, there was no real damage, and no red paint... He was away for around 10 hours... but i can't just accuse him... I did go over and ask if they saw/heard anything, trying to read lying signals and body language, but didn't get anything... maybe im just clutching at straws, but my instinct is very suss... I'll just have to wait to talk to my panel beater and see what he's going to quote... either way... im thinking get it fixed, and maybe time to sell up.

I think you are looking for a 4wd I would guess a bullbar is in the action there as well, At work I figure they would try for a new quater panel but I dont know if we can get these for the Z now If you are going for insurance you have plenty of photos so you have a good record of pre accident condition and can demand a top job. Good luck I know Insurance companies are a horror to deal with so stand firm.
yeah trav, and my neighbours have two vans, both with bull bars, but i cant see anything particular on them so cant blame... i just cant see it as a side swipe. its definitely a more focused collision, and my street is VERY wide.

I dont understand.... why do you now want to sell it? The damage is repairable and will look fine again once a new panel is fitted.
