    Hiring out a track...

Most tracks cost around 5 grand a day to hire out... so you want a big group...

Not sure what it does to licencing requirements etc...

basically its easier to turn up to the events that the track already holds rather than organise your own. Most only require you to have a current drivers licence and they do a quick run-over you car to ensure its safe.

There are exceptions of course, at Barbagallo for example you can't attend their events unless you join the WA sporting car club and have a CAMs licence, but both can be done on the day.

Also some tracks require you to wear race suits (calder is one example) but some tracks that require that will have a couple lying around that you can hire if you don't have one (calder does that too)

    ALSO...

Every track that I know of these days are very strict about drift and circuit practice not mixing... IE, if you want to go drifting don't turn up to an open practice or circuit practice day and try it or they will kick you off the track (I'd say most places would warn you first)

Also unless you have a Cams level 3 licence I doubt you'll get too many passenger rides in drift cars... It has to do with insurance and hence most places will only allow it on special occasions (ie as a prize at some Drift Australia rounds)

    sorry about the bad news...
