Can get some of the Autoglym polishes from Repco etc. Or paint places such as Anchor who sell the full range (cutting compounds, polishes, etc).
If anyone needs anything for their Zed, goto Auto One Kwinana on a Mon, Tues, Thurs or Fri. Ask for Crystal and say you are from Aus300zx... Or you know Jamie from the 300zx club... Either way entitles you to a discount
Okay, figured this needs some update pics. Ignore the crappy iPhone quality. Manual box and re-rubberised underbody: Retrimmed seats: Intake: Indicator example (Cheers spikie!): Shitty lighting on this pic sorry. Still more to go!
very nice ;D re-rubberised underbody looks cleaner in the pics, maybe it was the fumes and im tripping balls.
I think it just looks better in the dark. To top it off, it's still sticky. Has been on there for about 2 weeks and still isn't completely dry.
Okay, she's a manual! Finally! Gearbox is really smooth and the clutch is quite light. Spending the extra money to get a great cond. gearbox, rebuild the clutch system and do the job properly is definitely worth it. Managed to finish the car the night before the WA cruise, and she survived the trek, albeit on low boost. I even managed to drive the zed to work today! Yay! F1 stage 3 clutch is fine without the clutch booster. Not heavy at all, but it is a bit on/off. Will bed it in properly and then report back. Painted it on with a brush using the 3M stuff then sprayed over it with a rattle can of a funny brand name. Will have to check when I get home. All rubberised compounds - no bitumen. Has remarkably reduced road and exhaust noise in the car. I was a bit surprised at just how well it worked.
